We had a great stay at The Lodge. It was very well equipped and the welcome pack was fantastic. The surroundings were scenic and peaceful, and the grounds were brilliant. There was even an outdoor sink for washing your dog, which was very handy given the weather we had.We had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend!
The lodge was exactly what we needed for a peaceful family break with our dog. We enjoyed a week of mainly hot weather and loved the outside area to relax. Inside the lodge had everything we needed to be able to cook family meals since the facilities for doing so were very good, and a great gas bbq outside. We ate out once at the White Lion, which was walking distance, and had lovely fish and chips from Golden Plaice which is a 5 minute drive. Julie the host is lovely and very helpful. We would definitely return in the future if we were looking for accommodation in this area.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Lodge.
I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending The Lodge. Located in a tranquil spot, with excellent facilities. A welcome pack on our arrival, a visit from the owner who extended a warm welcome and made sure all was well. Easy access to a number of visitor destinations to suit most interests, including walks from the actual cottage. Loose yourself in the bird life in the adjacent trees, listen out, or watch, owls, visits from Roe Deer…..Or, if you just want to crash then is is the ideal hideaway to do that.

Lovely accommodation in a lovely setting.
Lovely accommodation in a lovely setting. Attractions and amenities are short drives away. The back of the Lodge is very private. Owners accommodation is very close and the garden isn’t entirely enclosed, which is a consideration with dog owners.

The Lodge is a wonderful property and the photos do not do it justice.
The Lodge is a wonderful property and the photos do not do it justice. Everything needed is provided and the property was extremely clean and well decorated. The garden is huge and fenced off so our dog could roam about. The views are breathtaking and it was so relaxing and quiet. Plenty of walks without needing to drive unless you want to visit the Downs. Local pubs The White Lion and The Queen's Head are great for food and drink. There is a local Co Op for food. Plenty of wildlife: deer, pheasants, Barn Owl, badgers, rabbits and buzzards. We had an amazing holiday and would love to return soon.

Second holidays there, and we would love to return!
The Lodge is a really lovely cottage with a well kept garden and nature all around. We felt at home and relaxed. Very friendly and helpful hosts. The perfect holiday home for our family and the dogs. There’s a range of great walks further afield. We appreciated a quite and calm location, and an extremely comfortable environment. Yes, we had a wonderful stay here, and would highly recommend to all.
Thank you, Julie and family for a wonderful break away.
