With its glass gable overlooking stunning mountain scenery and its authentic exterior and open plan living area, The Barn cleverly blends the traditional and contemporary to create an ideal holiday retreat situated on the road to Killin within a mile of Lochearnhead village. Famously the base for water sports on Loch Earn, the village offers a variety of shops, inns and eating places. Locally, visitors can enjoy glorious hill walking, fishing and golf, and there is free boat mooring available less than a mile away. Nearby Killin provides the setting for the dramatic Falls of Dochart and good shopping, and the city of Perth is only 35 miles.

Lochearnhead, beautifull area.

A property for 6, but with only the 2 of us, we had everything on the groundfloor. A nice kitchen with all you need. Communication with owners was very good. The view at the back was beautifull, with some red deer in the garden, next to the house. We love'd it.

Unfortunately there is no access to walk to town or walk about you have to take car to drive down the hill. You are right on fast road no walking access. We were a party of 6 , 5 adults 1 child and our dog.

We were a party of 6 , 5 adults 1 child and our dog. The Barn is a very well kept holiday home perfectly situated to explore the surrounding areas. Ample of road parking, the garden is well secure so the dog could roam about safely. Our granddaughter also enjoy playing in the outside space. Great accomodation for spending time on scenic rides around the dramatic West of Scotland and visiting the local sights. Accomodation was spacious, clean and well equipped. Owners very friendly and welcoming on arrival. No critism on owners but users need to aim off for supplies though as local village shop amenities are limited to only basic essentials (no alcohol), access to the village pub/restuarant (approx 1mile) is by following a major well used 'A' road with no footpath - food by reservation only. Local fuel and decent shop is approximately 5 miles away.

Lovely spacious house perfect for 6. Could benefit from a washing line, oven gloves and maybe some more cutlery and mugs. Nice friendly owners living close by. Beware of some dining chairs as they are in need of repair. Overall nice place to stay.

Very nice and flexible owner.

Very nice and flexible owner. Enjoyed our time! Enjoyed the sun on the terrace and the garden behind the house... You hear the traffic at night, because its next to the street out of town. But a perfect central point for a lot of attractions within 30-60 min car trip... If you don't like hard beds, you have to sleep upstairs, but we were satisfied...
