A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location - perfect for an escape of peace and quiet.
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful location - perfect for an escape of peace and quiet. Easy access to Dunoon and only a short ferry ride and train ride from Glasgow. Situated right next to the loch with seals and dolphins to be seen - as well as the occasional submarine! Very quiet location for quiet nights and a log burner to keep it cosy and warm.

A fantastic cottage in a wonderful setting looking out over Loch Long which is the width of the road
A fantastic cottage in a wonderful setting looking out over Loch Long which is the width of the road away from the front gate.. The cottage was superb, the best we have ever stayed in with regards layout and facilities available. Everything was of the highest quality with everything you could ever wish for in a self catering cottage. When speaking to the owner she could not have been more helpful stating that she could be contacted at any time should we require information/assistance.The welcome pack was outstanding and fair to say the best we have ever been left in self catering accommodation. Although we didn't use it there was a regular bus service into Dunoon every hour with the bus stop about 25-30 yards from Raglan Cottage. (no service on Sundays)The cottage is situated in the centre of the small village of Ardentinny which has numerous paths to walk up into the forest and along to the lovely sandy bay via a footpath along the shore, about a 10-15 minute walk. There is always plenty to see out on the water with a variety of boats going up and down the loch. These vary from private yachts to fishing trawlers to navel vessels and ocean going tankers going too and from the oil terminal near the head of the loch at Finnart. We even had the pleasure of seeing dolphins around the fishing trawlers. The loch also provides the opportunity to spend time fishing again from the shore just yards from the cottage. The cottage had everything you could wish for and more. We enjoyed it that much we have booked it again for a week in April and October in 2025. We can't wait to go back.
