Attractively situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with wonderful views of Loch Creran and forest, this traditional farmhouse (adjoining the owner’s garage) is located in North Shian, near Port Appin. It features a cosy living room with electric wood burner, a charming window seat and a well-equipped kitchen. An ideal base for touring and visiting Glencoe, Ben Nevis and the Isles, it enjoys its own large garden and stands in 5½ acres of the owner’s grounds, which run down to the loch side. An abundance of wildlife, excellent hill walking, sailing, golf, mountain biking and riding can all be enjoyed in the area and two well-known restaurants can be found within a short drive. Shop 1¾ mile.

We had a wonderful time staying in Coelard farmhouse. This is a beautiful house in a stunning, quiet part of Scotland. Plenty of fantastic walking and swimming nearby with Oban easily accessible. Thank you Gerald for such an enjoyable week.

We visited in a very cold week in November but the cottage was very warm and comfortable.

We visited in a very cold week in November but the cottage was very warm and comfortable. We were there to walk, and you really need a car to get around, but, that being said, there are so many walks, both locally and further afield. The cottage is very well equipped, and we particularly liked the entrance hall, where there was space to take one's boots off and hang up wet clothes to dry. There was plenty of outdoor space and nice places to sit, but it was too cold for us to use them. It was a lovely peaceful and comfortable place to visit in the winter and we are looking forward to returning when the days are longer and the the leaves on the trees.

Traumhafte Lage für einen erholsamen Urlaub

Ein wunderschönes Haus mit einem fantastischen Garten. Man sitzt auf einer Bank inmitten von blühender Heide und genießt den Ausblick auf's Meer, auf Wiesen und Wald, aus dem sich häufig Rehe zeigen. Das ist Erholung! Bei Fragen steht der sehr freundliche Vermieter gern für Antworten bereit.
