We had a lovely short break at Hall farm bungalow.

We had a lovely short break at Hall farm bungalow. It was perfect for us and felt rural although on the edge of a village. The bungalow was clean and well equipped. The double bed was very comfortable. We had a slight hiccup when I locked the key inside but the owner came straight away and helped. The local walks were perfect and we are already organising a return trip!

Not good

The oven didn't work. It came on, but didn't get hot. So feeding our youngest child was a struggle with her complex needs. The owner told me there was a electrition that came out a few weeks earlier, because the hob wasn't working and he found a blown fuse. The blown fuse will be because the heater eliment had blown it and now not working. The owmer lied to the booking company and told them they've checked, when clearly it comes on and doesn't get hot. We didn't bring many clothes because of there being a so called washing machine that again didn't work. Some body else obviously had the same problem as there was unused washing powder in the washer draw. We ended up coming 2 days early because we ran out of clothes. The single pain windows made for some freezing days and nights. Miles away from any shops that sell the essentials. Now to the good things. The view at the back of the was nice and watching the birds of prey across the fields was pleasant. I look forward to hearing your response.

Pretty location

The bungalow is in a pretty, very quiet location with the village pub within walking distance and walks direct from the property. However it is a little tired. Concerns about the electrics, ordinary light in the bathroom too close to the shower, bottom of the oven rusted out. Need more cereal bowls as we had to share. Torch was left which was considerate but dead batteries. First holiday property we have stayed in with no welcome tray, not essential but a nice touch after a long journey.
