A lovely cottage and views are remarkable even on a grey day.
A lovely cottage and views are remarkable even on a grey day. The host was most helpful and polite. Some of the rooms need a little refreshing but this does not detract from the cosy and clean interior. Excellent value.
It is beautiful and a wonderful location. We will return.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday.
We had a lovely relaxing holiday. The owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful. The cottage is absolutely spotless. One of the cleanest we have stayed in. The kitchen is very well equipped.Wifi was good. We found the beds comfortable. The garden was small but very pretty with a fantastic view. The cottage is up a single track lane but we didn’t find this a problem. It was great for walking the dog. We would highly recommend the cottage and would stay again if in the area.

Lovely clean cottage in a stunning location.
Lovely clean cottage in a stunning location. The views were spectacular and within a short distance of Matlock, Wirksworth and Belper. We enjoyed a lovely week away. We did find the beds a little harder than we were used to but obviously this is just a personal preference. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We loved the cottage and the location with its stunning views and walks close by.
We loved the cottage and the location with its stunning views and walks close by. Obviously a lot of thought has gone into making the cottage very comfortable and welcoming made more so by the flowers and bottle of wine left by the owner.

The cottage is located in quiet, lovely countryside, with a beautiful picturesque view into the valley. It has lovely features inside; wooden interior, beams; a cosy feel. The bathrooms are very well equipped (lovely shower!) and most of the necessary day-to-day amenities are provided. The dry room is particularly useful to dry washing/rained-on clothing.
There are a few improvements that could have been made to make our stay more comfortable. All the beds have very hard mattresses, so a couple of us struggled with that, to the point that we used duvets underneath instead of over the the top as padding. The kitchen could have a bigger frying pan and chopping knives - the ones provided are only small. And even when some radiators were switched to off, heat still came through, so we had to turn the heating off at the boiler directly.
Despite these problems, we had a lovely stay and particularly thank the owners for their hospitable welcome.
