The apartment has quality Castillian/Moroccan solid wood and marble furniture + memory mattresses. Sliding doors lead onto a spacious balcony. A fruiteria, pizza, pharmacy, supermarket and bakery are close by. As the apartment is located in the very heart of Nerja, you can watch some of the festival processions from the comfort of the balcony. Very convenient! We have also fitted very high quality, double-glazed windows and patio doors. The apartment has both air-conditioning and ceiling fans for that extra cooling effect when the windows are closed. The bathroom is completely refurbished with modern fittings and a walk-in shower unit with 'rain' and hand-held shower heads. The terrace is a generous 10m2 area, with garden patio seating for 4 persons. The patio doors are 'concertina' design to enable them to be opened for easy access. The check in process was pathetic. Luckily we met some friends who directed us where the door for the flat was! It was about 2 blocks away and we had a lot of luggage! No instructions where to find the door! From the minute we walked in - I wanted to walk out! Small, dark and not as advertised. There was no view at all as the flat is on a very busy thoroughfare! Very busy & very noisy! Withing 3 days the ceiling in the bathroom was falling in! Never got fixed! At one point we only had one light working in the flat! The bedrooms were so very small & the lack of storage was pathetic! We were there for 3 months and the owner took up half the closet with his own personal belongings. And the closet door in the larger bedroom was broken but the owner didn't feel that was a problem! The. Second BDRM was no bigger than a closet! The pictures are very deceiving and there are no pictures of the outside! Outside looks into other apartments & retail stores! At night the noise is deafening from the party goers getting their pizza from the pizza place directly under the apartment! We could not open the doors to the balcony as the smell of pizza would permiate the apartment. And as there are no windows that was it! I could say more but I think this is enough! I would never suggest for anyone to stay there unless they are alone & love the smell of pizza!
We had a great holiday at Alan’s apartment, all amenities on the doorstep or within walking distance. It’s located in a bustling area with a balcony ideal for people watching. A lot of effort has been put into the decoration of the apartment and we appreciated a newly refurbished bathroom. We will definitely return in the future.

As we are in our later years and with disabilities and using walking aids we relied on lift to first floor apartment at all times, but due to extensive works inside the building we found the entrance to building extremely hazardous and the lift could not be accessed at times, we would have to use stairs on these occasions and as it was like a building site and very uneven and dusty, we felt very vulnerable, when we made the booking the owner was most helpful, but we were not made aware of these hazardous conditions this is the reason for our low review.

I am extremely sad and disappointed with this review and consider it totally unfair.
Effectively, this holiday was completely free of charge as I was trying to help this couple because of their situation.
Typical of Spanish work practice, owners and residents were not made aware of the work planned for the apartment block entrance.
However, an alternative entrance/exit was provided by the construction company, but this couple didn't want to use it. They were told by the construction workers to use the other exit, but they were insistant that they wanted to use this one.
The lift/elevator is nowhere near the front entrance and was operational at all times.
I find it very frustrating when you try to help people and they simply abuse your hospitality. I will most certainly NOT be offering this again.

I am very disappointed with this review. The apartment is in the absolute CENTRE of Nerja, next door to everything. Naturally, because of the location, there will be some touristic happiness! We have triple glazed, acoustic windows and concertina terrace doors to minimise this.
I'm very sad that the guests didn't mention the 1st class quality of the apartment and the trouble we have taken to ensure their comfort.
Oh well.
Apartamento equipado con todo lo necesario para pasar una semana de vacaciones. Muy céntrico, con mucho ambiente, lo que también conlleva mucho ruido . No hay persianas por lo que la luz te acompañará también durante la noche.

Yes, the apartment being in the very heart of Nerja and the nightlife does include the celebrations of locals and tourists alike.
That is why we fitted high quality, acoustic, double-glazed windows and blinds which block out noise and light!
However, some folks like to sleep with the windows wide open and the blinds raised.
Individual choice is beyond my control. I can do no more.
But the important thing is that you had everything you needed for a great holiday. :)
I just feel sad that you omitted to mention the memory foam mattresses, smart tv, antique furniture, rain flow shower, Firestick channels, fully equiped kitchen, WiMax internet, top-of-the-range air conditioning system in all rooms, plus all the other 'extras' that other apartments don't offer.
But Nerja is beautiful and we hope you will be magnetically attracted to return soon. :)

My name is Alan Jardine and my wife’s name is Viera. I am British and Viera is Slovak. We live in Slovakia, where we both work as private English teachers. I also work as a session musician and voice-over artist and Viera is a potter and gardening enthusiast.
We have been holidaying in Spain for many years now and we love Nerja. We like it so much that in 2011 we got married there! The wedding ceremony took place in El Salvador Church on the Balcon de Europa and the reception was held on Calahonda Beach and in El Colono Restaurant, complete with flamenco dancers. Highly recommended if you’re not sure where to get married!
Why they chose this property
In 2016 we decided to buy a property in Nerja, Mi Casa. Then in 2018, we took the plunge to invest in another Nerja property in the Burriana Beach area, which has its own communal pool.
During our holidays, we have stayed in many properties, some good, some not so good. Some in good areas, some in not such good areas and many for extortionate prices.
So we determined that we would like our apartments to be in the best areas and decorated and furnished to the standard that we would like to stay in ourselves. But also, to be able to offer a high quality apartment at a very affordable price. With this in mind we chose the Castilla Perez area of Nerja for our first apartment, as it is so close to all the amenities that the Old Town has to offer. Our second apartment is in the more ‘avant-garde’ area of Burriana Beach, with all the lively bars and nightlife, plus of course the attraction of the famous Burriana Beach. But Nerja isn’t big, so both apartments are only about a 20 minute walk from each other. Each apartment area has it’s own special attractions, so it really is your choice as to what your ideal holiday consists of.
