Great property with incredible view.
The owners went out of their way to accommodate us, even rescheduling some maintenance they had planned. I would definitely schedule another stay here. Thank you!

We loved having your family and so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Congratulations on your daughters graduation!
Family ski trip. Great space. Good location but the shuttle only runs twice a day or you have to pay.
This was during peak ski time so we had to have someone drop off if you did not leave at the specified times.
Our family of four had a great stay! The hosts provided very clear communication and information prior to our arrival. Parking and getting into the place was totally seamless. Plenty of room to spread out. Lots of pleasant extras like firewood and streaming services. Access to the Cascade Village pool and game room was a huge plus for our kids. And the on-site Lift Restaurant was really good and has great atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
This condo was absolutely perfect for us! Away from the hustle and bustle of town but not too far from conveniences. Very clean, beautifully decorated, comfy furniture, super comfy bed and in a gorgeous setting. The kitchen had everything we needed for preparing meals. Our hosts thought of everything! And they made sure we had a way to reach them just in case we encountered any issues. We will definitely keep this one in mind next time we're in the area!

Great communication from the owners. The property was perfect for our family- We ended up having 7 people. 4 adults and 3 children. The Beds were comfortable, the property was clean and updated, we will be staying here again! The owners were very attentive and stayed in touch with us throughout our visit to make sure our needs were being met. The pool was fantastic for the kiddos and the views from the balconies were phenomenal. Thanks for making our trip perfect! Xoxo

Hi Kelly,
Thank you for your email, we loved hearing how much you enjoyed your vacation with us. Cascade Village is a beautiful community, please know that all HOA rules are thoughtfully created for everyone's safety and enjoyment.
We chose this condo for our ski trip. Staying was myself, my husband, our son (16) and his friend (17). We had so much room to relax after skiing and it was just awesome having a full kitchen with everything you need to cook a meal right there! We stopped at Albertson's in town and got food for the entire week and never had to go back into town. Everything was super clean, the hot tub upstairs was very nice when we didn't feel like walking over to the community hot tub (which was nice and hot too!). We loved there was covered parking on the ground floor since it was snowing the entire week. I would highly recommend a stay here for winter or summer! Hosts were awesome and provided everything we needed.
Overall the condo was nice and the owners communicated well with us. We enjoyed our stay. There were a few things I would request. There was no kleenexes at all in the condo and we had to use toilet paper, which made that get used up quicker. There was very little paper towels and no napkins, so we had to use paper towels conservatively. There were only 2 trashbags for the entire week. Maybe they would have left more if they knew more people would be staying?? Also, I would recommend more quantities of cooking spoons and spatulas. We knew this was their vacation home, so we respected it and made the best of it. We have stayed at many condos in the past and just wanted to suggest the few things above in comparison with other condos in the mountains and at the beaches.

6/10 Mountain Vacation
This condo has a cool mountain vibe and beautiful scenery. The hosts were responsive (though not always able to resolve issues) and not intrusive. We enjoyed the nearby bar and food truck, The Nugget, but just know it's really the only place close to go out. Several things could have been better. Although a washer/dryer is listed, no detergent is provided and since the nearby market was closed, the host suggested a 40 minute drive to Durango. No Kleenex and no blow dryer (both common in short term rentals) meant we had to buy our own of those also. The Keurig machine was there, but no coffee was provided. The complex's outdoor hot tub was closed. Our balcony was unusable due to the next door neighbor's many hummingbird feeders - the birds flew directly at us. Condos are very close together, and with windows open (no A/C, which we knew about), it was unavoidable to hear another neighbor's loud music. A chirping smoke detector was "fixed" by the host's suggestion to take the batteries out, but that also felt somewhat unsafe given Colorado's current wildfires. It is unclear if there's a property manager beyond the hosts. Overall, it's a nice mountain setting and for the most part we enjoyed our stay, but future guests should know to bring ALL essentials and be prepared for potential noise, limited amenities, and long drives for supplies.
We had a great time at the condo. Overall, the place was good. The condo is very close to Purg and very convenient to get there and back. There is a ski rental shop right there as well which was a big plus. Here are the cons of the condo. When I picked up my charger that fell on the floor, I found some pills that looked like vitamins just under the edge of the bed which let me know that deeper cleaning is needed. Although it is a nice touch, we didnt use the Keurig coffee maker because of the scaling in it. Also we booked for a week but were only given one trash bag for the kitchen which didn't cover it. Thankfully we had a friend staying near by in another condo that gave us some more trash bags. All in all we had an alright experience at this condo. It served the purpose we needed it to. The cons can be taken care of easily. Just for context, we stay at many vacation rentals in several countries so we can compare this stay with many others. Our next trip we will try another condo however.

Cool Mountain Retreat
We just spent a lovely week at this condo. It was clean, nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. It has a great set up-- you park underneath the building and enter there, walk up a flight of steps and then have a small entryway where you can stow hiking or ski gear before going inside. Once inside, there is a lower level with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and family room area. Upstairs is the master bedroom, bath and hot tub room. The only downside is that the internet is somewhat slow--we could stream Amazon shows, but the picture was not very good and there were times the show stopped momentarily. But other than that, we highly recommend the condo. Also loved the nearby hiking--hiked to Spud Lake, and did the Cascade Creek Trail--gorgeous waterfall at the end! Down in Durango, we enjoyed eating on the patio at Ken and Sue's, as well as walking the Animas River Trail. We also took a trip up to Ouray ( so cute!) and viewed the Box Canyon Waterfall. Final note: I did learn that altitude sickness is a real concern! Fainted my first night and ended up in Purgatory Resort's Urgent Care and later the ER. Both places took great care of me and after a day icing my face, we were able to get out and enjoy the beautiful nature surrounding us.
Great property and perfect for our Fall wedding elopement honeymoon. Comfortable, well appointed and great deck with beautiful views for morning coffee and evening cocktails. Great location for National Forest access, rivers, and creeks for our fly fishing and exploring, plus an easy drive to town for restaurants, groceries, etc. Excellent!
Recently renovated, well-appointed condo that was perfect for our stay near Purgatory Resort. It's a quiet area about 30 minutes north of Durango. The property owners were very good about communicating. One of the only places I've stayed that provides a few cleaning supplies :-) Master bedroom is a loft space on the top floor of the condo. Mattresses are super comfortable. The residents of the two condos next door feed the hummingbirds and we've never seen so many hummingbirds before. Gym that services the property was difficult to find. Pool and hot tubs were clean, easy to access, and not crowded (last week of July). Great value for the property and would stay there again.
We had an amazing vacation!! The condo was even better than described. It was super clean and spacious with gorgeous mountain views. The location of Cascade Village was perfect for things we wanted to do in Durango and Silverton. It was just a short distance to either town. The jet tub was perfect after a day of hiking to relax!!
Definitely recommend!!
This apt was very very clean which is something very important to our family. Great decoration and comfortable furniture and space. Love that is only a very short distance from Ski resort with transportation provided in case you don’t want deal with parking. Apt had everything you need.. kitchen equipped , restrooms, towels and sheets … wonderful experience at this apartment. Definitely recommend and would stay here in a heartbeat again.
Bathtub had the best view and relax time was my favorite after a long day of skiing .
The place is exactly as the pictures and description list it as. We had a great time. We skied for 3 days at Purgatory and this is a great unit for skiing. We just drove ourselves down and back each day, it is less than 5 minutes.
Unit had everything you need. The bathtub with the views of the mountains was amazing. Just what you need after a long day on the slopes.
Owners were helpful with all my questions.
