Wonderful location. Right outside Glacier National Park. Spacious enough for our family of five and our kids loved the swimming dock and beach across the street.
Great location close to Glacier! It was a cozy cabin for our family of 5. The kids loved that they each got their own queen bed. There is no TV and only a small love seat if you’re hoping to lounge after a day in the park, but that worked out to be a blessing for our kids.
This place exceeded our expectations! It was very clean and so close to the west entrance to Glacier National Park. The owner was easy to get ahold of and very responsive. The lake access was really amazing!! 10/10 recommendation!!
This little cabin is perfect for your family getaway, especially if you have teens who are too old or big to share a bed! Super convenient to the park, with board games to keep you occupied if it rains.
I LOVED this property!!! The location was great, near the park entrance and restaurants. It was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the fire pit out back and the lake. It was exactly what we were looking for.
Our group absolutely loved Grandpa’s Cabin. We felt at home and had everything we needed for our stay. We especially appreciate the fire pit and grill that we used for our stay. We hope to be back very soon!
This property was just what we were looking for.
Hicking, fishing, site-seeing and cooking in the evenings with a fire pit to reflect on the day. It was spectacular!
For us, we wanted a none commercial location that was still close to Glacier Park entrance.
We primarily used this a a place to sleep. Glad it had a heat pump (cooling or heating) in the primary sleeping room. Kids also had fun swimming from the dock, which is located across the street.
Great place to stay. Very rustic but clean. Some miscommunication about what to do with trash due to bears. Need bear proof bins or owner needs to pick up trash daily .

Thanks for picking our place!
We are working on bear proof garage receptacles. In 7 years of renting, this is the most active bears have been in our area.
Unfortunately, bear proof garbage bins are not something the garbage service company can provide at this time. We are trying to find some to buy that the garbage service will still pick up, but that has been challenging. Specialty order items at this time seem to be tough to find, and get delivered. Thanks for understanding!
My family spent our summer vacation at Grandpa's Cabin. We visited Glacier National Park several times conveniently located only a few minutes away. Some days we stayed at the cabin and played on the lake. The private dock was a wonderful spot to lounge, jump into the water, and launch our SUP. We appreciated the fun records and record player and AC. The cabin was very clean, organized, and had everything we needed to have a great vacation. Thank you!
This was a great property to stay at for a base to GNP. Even if we hadn’t planned spending a majority of time at GNP, this would have been a great place on the lake. Ryan was great to work with. He made sure he kept us informed of fire restrictions and changes with the reservation system at GNP. He really went above and beyond. Thank you!
We had a great time and enjoyed AC in the large bedroom. Saw deer in the yard every evening. Very relaxing and fun to but on a Disney vinyl at bedtime. No coffee provided so make sure to bring your own coffee.
We loved this place. The surrounding is tranquil. The lake is beautiful. The kitchen is fully equipped. The only complaint we had is a bit lack of privacy. The large bedroom does NOT have its only direct inside access to the bathroom! Sleepers in it needed to either go through the master bedroom or outside through the porch and the front door, which was rather inconvenient during the nights.
We stayed at grandpa’s cabin for five nights, good location to glacier national park. Quaint and clean cabin. Perfect for the two of us. If staying at the cabin with children or another couple, the second bedroom has three full beds, but would need to walk through the master bedroom to get to anything else in the cabin, such as the living room, kitchen, and bathroom. There is a door if you want to walk outside and come in the front door to avoid walking through the master.
We had a great time in the West side of Glacier. Everyone was clean, except the floors. While the floors looked clean, they left the bottom of my kids feet black, if they were barefoot. The cabin isn't big and not a lot of room for 8 people. But it did have a cozy camping feeling that we thought was fun. My teenagers thought the record player was interesting and loved listening to the different records. My kids loved playing on the private dock in the evenings.
This cabin is in a great location for west glacier. Cabin was clean and had all the amenities we needed for an enjoyable vacation. The living room/ dinning room is small but we spend most of our time outside. The lake is across a small lightly traveled road and down a steep slope, steps made into the hillside for ease. The private dock was very tranquil and relaxing. The view is incredibly beautiful and breathtaking. We highly recommend this place and we plan on renting when we come back to Glacier. Thanks “Grandpa” for sharing your piece of paradise with us.
