About this property
THE COTTAGE, pet friendly, character holiday cottage in St Briavels
This cottage in St Briavels has four bedrooms, sleeps eight and has four bathrooms, and - if you have any - pets are welcome.
The Cottage sits on the edge of the Forest of Dean and on the outskirts of the small village of the small village of St Briavels, and enjoys tremendous panoramic views over the Wye Valley below. Originally a small worker’s dwelling, the property benefits from the addition of a much larger, contemporary extension providing bright and spacious accommodation.
The first floor hosts three of the four bedrooms; one with king size bed, chest of drawers, wardrobe, small TV and views out over the garden, with the third and fourth hosting double and twin beds and ensuite bathroom. The first bedroom has a double bed and can be found on the first floor, along with a spacious kitchen and dining area.
Outside you’ll find a small patio area with garden furniture and an area of lawn with far-reaching views beyond The Cottage.
Amenities: Central heating, woodburner. Range-style cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. TV, DVD, WIFI, iPod dock. Fuel and power inc in rent. Bed linen and towels inc in rent. Travel cot. High chair. Small patio with garden furniture. Table football. Two well behaved pets welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 4 miles, pub 0.5 miles.
Region: Herefordshire offers visitors the chance to journey through lush green countryside, enjoying splendid black-and-white timbered villages, a magnificent cathedral city, a fairytale Georgian castle at Eastnor or books galore in famous Hay-on-Wye.
Town: St Biavels has a friendly pub (The George Inn) and a moated Norman castle, which is open to the public-a great attraction for children. For a day’s exploring the cathedral cities of Hereford and Gloucester as well as the Cotswolds beyond, are well within reach. For a family day out Puzzle Wood and the Sculpture Trail are popular destinations in nearby Coleford.
