Jose’s apartment had everything we needed for a great stay. It had a full kitchen, lots of towels and blankets and was a great location to get into Funchal and also the other attractions and hikes around the island.Jose also gave us some great recommendations.

Hidden gem

Great property! Jose was a wonderful host and very accommodating! My flight into Madeira arrived quite early and wanted to prolonged one of my hikes a bit, Jose was incredibly understanding of the later check in time. The apartment itself is great! Well equipped kitchen, was able to do laundry, and very spacious! Perfectly situated to drive in the surrounding area for hikes! Will definitely come back here again!

The host was wonderful and the apartment is lovely, very spacious, well equipped and comfortable, much bigger than it seems in the photographs. José met us and welcomed us with gifts of fruit, bread, water and some delicious red wine. He also gave us great recommendations re places to eat -including the nearby Pereira Restaurant (just a few minutes’ walk away, up the hill) where we enjoyed a very tasty typical Madeira dinner and wine and were entertained with a show on the stage of lively traditional singing and dancing. He also put us in touch with an excellent local car hire company called Cora Atlantic On The Way. The apartment is also very quiet. It’s about a 20 minute walk to the centre. Buses 15B and 42 also go int town and it’s easy to get Uber or Bolt cabs. We had a great time in Funchal.

Perfect stay

Jose has to be the best host I have met. He personally drove my son and I around the area to familiarize him with restaurants, food market, bus stops and other important places. The apartment was perfect for the two of us and reasonably priced for the location and allowed us to check in early in the day. He even made me a cup of coffee!!! Lovely person and an apartment that perfectly suited our needs.

José ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber . Bemüht sich und gibt viele Tipps für die Insel und Umgebung . Check-in war super leicht und problemlos. Die Wohnung verfügt über alles was man für den Urlaub benötigt. Kann dies nur empfehlen und würde selber wieder buchen ! Viele Dank für alles , es war mir ein Vergnügen!

Un appartement t 2 calme, propre, spacieux et bien équipé

Une location idéale pour une famille si les enfants acceptent de partager le canapé lit. Le balcon est agréable, l'appartement bien équipé et le quartier très calme. Bien que situé en périphérie du centre historique on peut se passer de la place de parking et s'en sortir sans véhicule : les bus sont nombreux pour peu que l'on parte avant 10h et que l'on ne s'attarde pas au centre après 23h ( 10 mn de trajet): seuls les fêtards risquent de devoir prendre un taxi !

Geräumiges (Wohn- u. Schlafzimmer, Küche) voll ausgestattes App., sehr sauber, ruhig, Jose, der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich. Bushalt und Bar direkt vorm Haus, Innenstadt ist auch zu Fuß in 15 Min. (abwärts) zu erreichen.

Petter und Gabi sind ein sehr nettes Paar, sie haben die Regeln des Hauses eingehalten, sie haben alles sauber und ordentlich hinterlassen. Es war eine großartige Erfahrung, die ich überall auf der Welt empfehlen kann!
