About this property

Villa Bacchus is a great choice for families or couples, peace and quiet around, a good place to relax and to enjoy nature. Ideally located with a short distance from Kassiopi village, Avlaki beach and San Stefano. The villa's poolside terrace is a pleasant and fabulously scenic spot, with a crazy-paved patio surrounding the swimming pool and looking out across the tree-clad countryside to the sparkling Ionian Sea in the distance.
A shaded door opens into the house where you will find a kitchen/diner and a simply-styled twin bedroom with french doors opening onto the poolside terrace. Two steps lead up to a modern shower room and the lounge; a cool room with whitewashed walls and a tiled floor, decor with some of the owner's family antiques. Upstairs is a galleried second bedroom with a wide shaded balcony overlooking the pool and enjoying sensational views across Avlaki Bay to Albania
It is lying in its own small garden and reached by a country lane. Accessed via a driveway shared with the villa next door, this semi-detached house is in an ideal location only one mile from the first shops and tavernas of Kassiopi and just half mile from Avlaki's shingle and pebble beach.

Wonderful pool and terrace - incredible view

The outside space at this property is really lovely. The pool is large and deep and the view is absolutely amazing. The inside space is (as you can see clearly from the pictures) is a little bit dated but it is also very spacious and comfortable. The upstairs bedroom is particularly nice as it has a lovely terrace. The bathroom is newly renovated. The whole property was very clean. The property is described as being semi-detached with a shared drive but I had not fully understood what this meant before we booked. The pool area is private but there are next-door neighbours who occasionally walk across the outside space between the house and the pool to access their side of the building. They were very nice and it was not a problem at all but it is just something to be aware of if you were expecting total privacy. The other big bonus of this property is that it is very close to Avlaki beach - there is actually a track that turns off from the driveway goes directly down there (and a shortcut to it across the Olive grove below the pool). If you are a runner this is a very nice route - you can run down the beach and then onwards to San Stefano and end the run with a swim at the secluded Stroglyo Beach. We also hired boats at Avlaki beach which was a highlight of the holiday. This is a lovely part of Corfu and this Villa was very pleasant place to stay.

Great location - a lovely holiday

Villa Bacchus lived up to its' billing. The website and promotional photos major on the pool and the views, both of which are stunning. The interior is a little basic, but completely adequate, with the fantastic advantage of being spotlessly clean and having effective air conditioning in the bedrooms. We didn't realise the upstairs bedroom did not have a door, but just opened up at the top of the stairs (take care), but that worked fine too. The property manager was helpful and friendly, the (3 times per week) cleaner was thorough and the neighbours to this semi-detached property were friendly too. You need a car. There is nothing within a practical walking distance for most people.The local supermarket is a 5-minute drive and very good, with friendly and helpful staff. The range of fresh food was very good. We always ate out in the evenings and found some excellent restaurants at decent prices. Use TripAdvisor for advice on restaurants. Villa Bacchus was a great place to stay and was an integral part of a fabulous holiday.

Wonderful place! Nice pool, good rooms, well equipped kitchen, lovely balcony all overlooking the most fabulous view across the straights to Albania. Quiet location and the neighbours are great, never intruding but very generous with their home grown veg and fruit. Can't recommend it highly enough!

Relaxing, scenic ,typical Greek atmosphere

Lovely setting, beautiful views. Great swimming pool. Need a car though to get around, even to the supermarket. Kostas very friendly and helpful. The next door neighbours are very pleasant. Would recommend - cleaner came 3 times a week and was very thorough and pool also cleaned 3 times a week.
