Beautifully restored 5 bedroom/5 bathroom 16th century farmhouse, with large enclosed swimming pool and covered terrace perfect for al fresco dining.

Ideal for families and groups. Located in a peaceful, rural setting just five minutes outside Castellana Grotte, a lovely old town with a weekly market and many excellent restaurants and independent shops. Conversano is a ten minute drive in the other direction. Bikes are provided and can be used to reach Castellana via quiet rural roads in under fifteen minutes.

Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves and cherry orchards, this lovingly restored spacious property provides total privacy yet is within easy reach of the local historical towns and major tourist attractions providing plenty to see and do in the evenings. Polignano a Mare and Alberobello are both reachable in twenty minutes. Martina Franca and Ostuni are a forty-five minute drive. Bari airport is just thirty minutes away.

The house:

A spacious L shaped living area with vaulted ceiling, open fire and comfortable seating for 10. Separate dining room, modern fully fitted kitchen.

5 bedrooms/ 5 bathrooms (three ensuite kings, one twin/king room, one single room, roll-away beds available on request).

Private saltwater swimming pool (12m x 6m) with surrounding patio and gardens, and large covered dining terrace with large table and benches. Further table and seating provided for flexible outdoor dining. Brick built BBQ.

There is unlimited, good quality Wifi throughout the house. Fast enough for streaming and video calls.

This beautiful rambling property has been has been lovingly renovated over several years, with the aim of maintaining the original character of the building. The décor is unique with interesting ethnic art and artefacts from around the world.

The large modern airy kitchen is well equipped with double oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, and big American style fridge.

Wonderfull !

the house is very pleasant, very clean and functional for families. It is located in quiet nature and ideally located for various visits. The caretaker is very friendly and gives good advice. Great stay!

A beautiful place to stay

The Masseria has been beautifully restored and is now a very comfortable property with a stunning pool and lovely garden. It is very well equipped and we loved staying there. The location is perfect for visiting Alberobello and other attractions. Darren, the property manager, was very helpful and responsive. Highly recommended.

Slice of heaven

This was my fourth or fifth time staying in the Masseria, and each time it gets harder to leave. It is so peaceful and relaxing and everywhere you look is beauty. It has everything you need, and with 5 bedrooms and baths it is great for larger families. Definitely my favorite place in Italy! Can’t wait to be back!!

Lovely family hideaway

The property is lovely and has almost all you need. The GPS coordinates are essential to find the home. A little remote from shops and town so car is a must. Darren was fabulous and helped us a lot. No pool fence so be alert with young children. Otherwise recommended

La casa es excepcional en todos los sentidos. No hay sorpresas negativas, sino que todas son positivas. La construcción es histórica y está muy bien acondicionada y limpia. No le falta detalle para cumplir con todas las expectativas en tranquilidad y necesidades. Muy bien equipada, con menaje abundante y diverso para cocinar.La ubicación es perfecta para realizar una estancia tranquila en un entorno natural, pero a la vez está cerca de enclaves de interés. Es una buena base para descubrir la Puglia.Finalmente, Darren, su cuidador, nos dio muy buenos consejos y nos prestó una gran ayuda con nuestras dudas sobre el entorno.

The most beautiful place we have ever stayed. This country property is stunning.

The County House has been renovated to a high standard every thing you need there. Fantastic pool lots of space in house and out side area. You definitely need a car. Coast a 20mins drive. We did not want to leave definitely be back thank you for our stay.

Fantastic villa for a family holiday

We loved our stay at Masseria Casalicchio. Everything works in the villa and you immediately feel at home. The outdoor area is top class, especially the pool. The pool is good for both children and adults. The stairs in the pool is not slippery at all.

Eine Woche im Paradies ...

Wir verbrachten eine Woche im Juni mit einer befreundeten Familie in dieser wundervollen Unterkunft. Die Fotos im Inserat können die Weitläufigkeit des Hauses gar nicht genügend erfassen. Es ist super gepflegt, groß und liebevoll eingerichtet und es ist wirklich alles vorhanden, was man für einen angenehmen Aufenthalt braucht. Der Garten und der Pool sind herausragend schön und gepflegt, nicht zuletzt, da Darren immer wieder nach dem Rechten schaut und sich sehr liebevoll um Haus und Gäste kümmert. Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder, dann aber für 2 Wochen :-) !

Beautiful property in lovely surroundings, with close proximity to lots of interesting places to visit. Particularly enjoyed all the outdoor space, including the pool (shallow end great for small children). Daz, the caretaker, was also extremely helpful providing lots of guidance on the property and the area. Thank you!

A stunning property

We’ve had the most amazing holiday in this beautiful restored villa, plenty of space for 6 adults, 3 children, everything is top quality and so tastefully decorated. The setting in the olive and cherry groves is so peaceful but near to Conversano , a lovely town with excellent restaurants. Lots to do, but hard to drag yourself away from the excellent pool. Darren is on hand to help in any way . A great holiday .

Apulien im Herbst

Wir waren drei Paare in diesem wunderschönen alten Bauernhaus. Zu sechst hatten wir natürlich sehr viel Platz und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet, die Küche lässt keine Wünsche offen und es war überall sehr sauber. Die Terasse und den großen Pool konnten wir auch Mitte Oktober noch sehr gut nutzen, nur am Abend wurde es schon recht kühl. Besonders angenehm war die Kommunikation mit Darren, dem Hausverwalter, der auf all unsere Fragen immer sehr schnell geantwortet hat. Er war uns eine große Hilfe. Auch das Ein- und auschecken lief reibungslos. Das ganze hat unsere Woche in Apulien sehr angenehm gemacht. Many thanks to Darren!! Klaus and Friends

Villa mit Flair

Das Haus hat alle Erwartungen übertroffen. Es wurde sehr hochwertig renoviert und ausgestattet mit vielen durchdachten Details. Ein sehr schön angelegter Garten und der riesige Pool laden zum Verweilen ein... wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen, und haben uns von Darren (housekeeper) bestens betreut gefühlt. Gratulation an die Besitzer, die diese ehemalige Ruine wieder zum Leben erweckt haben - wir kommen gerne wieder ;-) Ciao

Meget pænt og velholdt!

Booking: Professionel, præcis og hurtig kommunikation med ejer/udlejer. På stedet: Professionel, præcis og hurtig kommunikation med "Caretaker" Darren. Alt fungerede og der var pænt, rent og meget velholdt. En dejlig stor og ren pool i en dejlig have med et velfungerende spiseområde der dannede rammen om mange hyggelige timer. Beskrivelse/billeder på VRBO er præcis og dækkende. Således blev vores forventninger 100% indfriet. Vi kan varmt anbefale Masseria Casalicchio som et dejligt udgangspunkt for en ferie i Puglien.

Traumhaftes Haus, Erholung garantiert

Wir haben eine wunderbare Woche in dieser liebevoll restaurierten Masseria verbracht! Das Haus ist riesig und sehr komfortabel und großzügig eingerichtet. Es fehlte hier wirklich an nichts. Hervorzuheben ist, dass die Matratzen sehr bequem sind und wir alle super erholt geschlafen haben. Die meiste Zeit haben wir im Aussenbereich verbracht. Dieser ist einfach nur ein Traum - der große Holztisch, umringt von Obstbäumen, Rosmarin und Oleander, der riesige Pool, der durch die Abstufungen super auch für unsere kleinen (1 jährigen) Kinder geeignet war, die Dachterrasse, von der man den schönsten Sonnenuntergang genießen konnte. Die idyllische Lage des Hauses zwischen Olivenhainen und Traubenplantagen war super als Ausgangspunkt für unsere Ausflüge. Innerhalb von 30 Minuten kann man sowohl schöne Strände, als auch die sehenswerten UNESCO Kulturerbe Stadt Alberobello, Polignano oder auch Monopoli sehr gut erreichen. Der Kontakt zu Darren, dem Housekeeper, war reibungslos und einwandfrei. Er und seine Frau waren sehr herzlich und bemüht um uns und gaben uns super Tipps. Sie bieten auch einen Kulinarischen Abend an, an dem man von beiden mit allerlei apulianischen Spezialitäten bekocht wird. Dies ist wirklich sehr zu Empfehlen! Danke nochmal an Darren und Donatella!
