Neptune Cottage is a traditional Portland cottage situated in Fortuneswell, Portland, Dorset and benefits from its location on Chesil Beach. The cottage can sleep 5 people in 1 double, 1 twin single and 1 single bedrooms, as well as a family bathroom and shower room. The rest of the cottage is made up of a fitted kitchen dining room and a sitting room with a feature stone fireplace. To the outside of the cottage there is parking in a council owned car park and a small court yard with garden furniture. Neptune Cottage is ideally located for access to Chesil beach and the National sailing centre, where you can try all manner of water sports.

Amenities: Gas central heating, wood burning stove, electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher, TV, DVD, selection of books. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Cot available. Stairgate. Off road parking directly opposite the cottage in the council owned parking area for approximately 20 cars which is free to park in for as long as you like (on a first-come-first-served basis). There is alternative roadside parking nearby. Small rear patio yard with furniture. Two well-behaved dogs welcome, charge of £21 per pet per week Sorry, no smoking. Shop 10 min and pub 5 min. Beach 5 min.

Formerly a quarrying area, Fortuneswell boasts a good variety of shops, pubs and restaurants, along with an intriguing maze of streets that wind their way up a steep hill to offer stunning views of the Jurassic Coast and the rolling hills of Dorset beyond. The surrounding countryside is well known as a birdwatcher’s paradise, plus with great walking and climbing opportunities, an array of watersport activities, wonderful sandy beaches, and Weymouth just 5 miles away, this super holiday destination is not to be missed!

Filthy

Neptune cottage needs a lot of maintenance doing it’s very run down. When we arrived it stank it was awful , I’ve never walked into such a filthy holiday home they had to get a cleaner in and it took her four hours to get it anything like it should of been, it needs a real deep clean there was mould down the side of the settee where food had been spilt , the back yard was filthy you couldn’t sit out . The location of the property is amazing with a lovely pub just a stroll away , sun sets were fabulous. But we certainly won’t be going back to Neptune cottage don’t know how they have the nerve to let out such a dirty place !!
