The location does not get any better than this! Old Tolbooth Wynd is literally just around the corner from the famous Royal Mile in the heart of historic Old Town. You will find the best local shops, restaurants and pubs super close to my apartment. Walk to all major attractions in less than 10 minutes including Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, Calton Hill, St Gile's Cathedral, New Parliament, Arthur's Seat, National Museum and Princes Street.

We truly enjoyed this property during our 3 days in Edinburgh. The view is spectacular and it is just one block off the main street, yet very quiet. It was very clean with large bathrooms and kitchen area. We would definitely stay here again!

Overall the unit was spacious and comfortable. The building itself is dated and needs a freshen up and maintenance. We understand this is nothing to do with the unit itself though.
Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay in the apartment where we walked everywhere even to the train station with our bags! the place is modern, clean and convenient!
Highly recommend!
It was not as represented and not luxurious as advertised. Random cheap furniture and not sized for the small space. Extraordinarily expensive for the small poor space. There were broken radiators that the host wanted me to contact the service provider to repair.

It was an amazing property with all its location, furnitures, amenities, cleanliness, electric fireplace, tv and atmosphere. However there are two problems: First the elevator was not working (flat is in the 4th floor), second the flat was not pre-heated so we needed to wait for couple of hours to be heated up!

Loved our stay here in Edinburgh. Communication was excellent and vrbo was perfect for our family of five. Walked everywhere from our place which was awesome. Recommend- tavern on corner by vrbo, the WITCHERY for dinner, angel with bagpipes for lunch, the milkman for coffee and pastries, mariachi for Mexican food was so good. We did two tours we’d recommend both- scotch whiskey experience and mark king close. Definitely recommend this rental. Only two issues- key pick up/drop off was at another location so dragging bags from a two week trip was exhausting and no paper towels in kitchen.

We spent a couple of nights in Edinburgh at this wonderful apartment. The location is absolutely unbeatable. Located within a 2 minute walk to a bus station and a 10 minute walk to Holyrood as well as several amazing pubs and shops. The home is well-appointed with everything we needed during our stay. It was perfect for 4 adults and two children, aged 8 and 10. As was mentioned in other reviews, you do need to be aware that the key pickup and drop off is at a different location in the city, but not too far away. Also the lift to the 5th floor isn’t functional, so your legs are going to get a workout (on top of the hills in Edinburgh). So be sure everyone in your party is up to the challenge.

This apartment is right off the Royal Mile and has a view of Arthur Seat! It was very convenient and fit 5 of us comfortably. There was an issue with the key and parking pass when we first arrived - key was not at location specified in email and we had to go to the train station to get it- and the parking pass was missing from the apartment. Also several of the windows were locked and needed a key to open that we didn't have. A few phone calls later and someone came quickly to get us a parking pass and open the windows for us. There was loud construction that happened early each morning in the property next door also. Other than that it was a great stay!
The flat was so convenient to everything we needed in Edinburgh! The living room is a bit cozy for 6 adults but the convenience and that it has 3 bathrooms more than made up for the cozy! Clean, comfortable with great views! The only reason I put less stars on check in is because it doesn’t have an onsite keybox. We were tired from travel and had all our bags and making an extra stop was a lot. Also the keys must be turned in at said location no mater what the attendant says when you pick up the key! Great communication which was very helpful! I would definitely stay again!

The property is located on the top floor of the building and there was no working lift. Also, the drop off and pick up of the key was about 1/2 mile from the property. This was problematic for the early departure to the airport. I reached out to see if the key could be left at the property, but no response. The location was good and the showers were great!

We had a great stay! Our family absolutely loved the decor, amenities, and especially the three restrooms. The location of the flat proved to be perfect for us. Situated near the bottom of the Royal Mile it is in walking distance to everything we wanted to see. While this did mean that going almost anywhere meant walking uphill to get there it also meant that coming back in the evening was downhill. There is also a bus stop about 100 yards away. We were also very impressed with the responsiveness of the owner when we needed anything. Just at the entrance of Toll Booth Wynd is the Toll Booth pub. It is just what you think a neighborhood pub should be. Not really a touristy place just a local bar. Another hint: Some of the same shops you have at the top of the Mile have stores at the bottom of the mile.

Het is een erg mooi appartement in het oude stadscentrum. Alle activiteiten en bezienswaardigheden op loopafstand.
Na een lastige start met inchecken hebben wij volop kunnen genieten van het appartement.
This beautiful apartment is an ideal location to explore Old Town in Edinburgh. It is everything as advertised and more and the communication with the landlord was excellent. He was extremely helpful. You can’t go wrong with choosing this place!
