Looking out the window is like viewing a beautiful landscape oil painting - only these are the magnificent 'real-life' views from your holiday home in Trearddur Bay. The views reach across the lush green fields to the magnificent Holyhead Mountain in one direction and the sea in another. What's more, the scene changes as day turns to night.

Cadair Arthur - pronounced 'Kad-air Ar-thur' is tucked away in a quiet residential lane yet close to the village centre, its a peaceful haven that will delight you from the moment you park up and close the gates.

This beautifully designed, newly-built holiday cottage has oodles of personality and contemporary features designed to exude a sense of calm tranquillity and encourage you to truly relax and get away from it all.

A ground floor that becomes the first floor!

Built into a hillside you enter the property at ground level but as you walk through to the living area you find yourself on the first floor with incredible views.

The Welsh countryside is renowned for being breathtakingly beautiful, lush and green and the enormous windows give you a birds-eye view which is prettier than a picture

Choose Cadair Arthur as your holiday home and you'll get to enjoy these far-reaching pastoral views every day.

The bright, airy hallway leads into the open plan living space with its cathedral ceiling, gorgeous wood flooring and not one, not two but three comfortable sofas. There is a large flat-screen TV, but who needs to watch TV with a floor-to-ceiling picture window and those to-die-for views? The views at sunset are exceptional.

The lounge opens out to a large dining space and the beautiful fully equipped kitchen, perfect for rustling up scrumptious meals for family or friends.

Sleeping arrangements

There are three bedrooms on the main floor. An en suite double bedroom with king-size bed and shower room, a second double bedroom and a twin room - perfect for the kids. A family bathroom with a walk-in shower and bathtub is shared by the double and twin bedrooms.

But the real showstopper is the master bedroom that is situated on the lower level of the property. This huge and private bedroom suite is the size of a small apartment and features an incredible en suite marble bathroom with a supersize walk-in shower, stand-alone bath, WC and washbasin. The views from here are as delightful as those on the main floor and there are French doors that you can open out to the delightful decked and glass surround terrace.

Gardens made for playing in

Outside there is a grassed enclosed garden. Steps leading down to the rear of the property, reveal a great hide-and-seek spot. Steps are gated so are safe for inquisitive toddlers.

The flat, lawned area is perfect for sunbathing with a good book or a garden picnic, while the children play safely around you.

All about Trearddur Bay

Trearddur or Trearddur Bay is a popular seaside resort and village on the west coast of Holy Island, just off the northwest coast of Anglesey. It's a lovely rural place with only about 1,600 permanent residents. However, it's not short on charm or activities to enjoy during your stay.

There are a couple of village shops, two golf courses, and a large hotel - Trearddur Bay Hotel, overlooking the beach, which has a fine restaurant and bar.

The village has grown out of a hamlet known originally as Tre Arthur (Arthur's town). Whoever Arthur was he knew what he was doing settling in this beautiful spot, surrounded by natural beauty and boasting a Blue Flag beach!

It may be small but it's perfectly formed. The main beach at Trearddur is one of the tourist hotspots in Anglesey. As you'd expect for such a picturesque coastal location, the beach is a mecca for sailing, diving, kayaking, windsurfing and surfing.

For guests wishing to keep their feet dry, you can go horse-riding to explore the countryside or test your skills on the two golf courses.

In and around Trearddur are fabulous places to eat - many with sea views. The village has a couple of convenience stores, but for those wanting a broader shopping experience, the port town of Holyhead is only a couple of miles away.

Here you will find excellent coastal walks, pubs, restaurants, shops, St Cybi's Church, a maritime museum and many prehistoric sites on the outskirts of town. Both the county town of Llangefni and the city of Bangor are within easy travelling distance too.

8/10 Good

A lovely house and location
We were a party of 7, including 2 children, and we found the property very suitable. It was roomy and well appointed. We all enjoyed sitting and watching the cows in the field outside. We enjoyed the welcome pack of wine etc. In general the property was very clean, but we felt that the cooker could have been cleaner. We had a problem with the keysafe on arrival, but we were given assistance over the phone.

A very nice property
Really nice property and well located with just a short walk to Trearddur Bay itself. No criticism really, just minor things that could be improved: the main dining table was suitably large, but the bench seating was a bit uncomfortable, and it felt a little squashed sitting altogether. The hot water ran out at one point as well, and we couldn't do anything to solve the problem except shower in cold water. Otherwise, the property is beautiful and we really enjoyed our stay.

Very nice property which suited all our needs as a multi-generational family. Views from windows were stunning as was the main bedroom and bathroom. All equipment was very modern and up to date and we all really enjoyed our stay. Very nice touch to have a bottle of prosecco chilling in the fridge for our arrival!
