About this property
8 bedroom unit for up to 18+ people on the Whitefish Chain of lakes in Minnesota
Newly remodeled, Unit #78 (combined #7 and #8) is a 2 story reunion townhome style building with 8 bedrooms (all bedrooms are updated with log beds and dressers) (4 bedrooms have a queen bed, 2 bedrooms have a queen and a twin bed and 2 rooms have 2 twin beds in each). There are 4 bathrooms (2 with bathtubs and 2 with showers). Each side of the town home is a complete 4 bedroom and two bathroom unit with kitchen, living room and deck. Also note that each side has two futons in the living room(s) that could sleep additional people - we do not count these in the total number that the unit can sleep. Out front is a sitting area with a fire pit (we provide wood) and picnic tables. Access to the lake and private sand beach + 2 dock spaces (with boatlifts). Includes use of kayaks, canoe and other beach toys. The area has many restaurants, golf courses, shopping and fun activities for all ages. If you are looking for a great new place to get away - this could be it! Free wireless internet access, cable TV is included. Forced Air heat and central air conditioning plus two fireplaces make this a great get-away for all seasons. Just a few steps away from Pickleball court, sand volley ball, shuffle board, horse-shoe pit and more. Great clean playground for kids. Outside gas grill on each side is included. Parking right outside your door for up to 6+ vehicles. As us about local boat and pontoon rentals...

About the host
Hosted by Karen Scholz

Karen & Dan Scholz originally purchased this property as part of Beacon Shores Resort.
We ran the resort for 20 years, and now we have sold off part of the property and plan to simplify our lives offering this rental unit. Note that an option exists to rent half of the building (4 bedroom townhome) if desired (and if available). If you rent half of the unit, note that another group may rent the other half. Check our face book and web page for additional photos and details. We just completed a major remodel of the building to make it more comfortable for groups and replaced all of the beds with new log beds.

Why they chose this property
This property is totally unique in that you get many of the extras of a resort... yet you have the quiet privacy of a VRBO lake home rental... as the resort is now closed. It is a perfect balance. We get awesome sunsets, have a nice beach & tanning area plus two playgrounds. We have a fish cleaning area, so one less thing to worry about. Also winter access to the lake - so year round options exist.
