Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
The house was comfortable ,clean and very quiet at night.Bit of a trek to the beach but beautiful views from the property. We checked in on a 40 degree day and John very kindly messaged us to check in early.
Great property, one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed at and has everything you need. The host has really thought of everything that a holiday home requires. Beautiful view of Copacabana Beach, perfect for that first morning cuppa.
of the day!
Shared driveway was too narrow for an SUV. Otherwise brilliant once there. Copacabana beach was fantastic for a surf. Clean beach and great coffee place and croissants. ๐

Thanks for the review. Shared driveway is 3.3m wide and has to allow for construction trucks so any vehicle can get there. If you have a large SUV, it can take some manoeuvring into the carport but has been done many times.
Cosy, clean and comfortable, this house has everything you need and a great view of the beach. Itโs also just a short walk from one of the best whale watching lookouts on the central coast! So much to do in the surrounding areas with national parks, lakes and ocean all around. The owner was great to deal with and went to a lot of trouble to make sure we had no problems finding or accessing the property.
We loved sitting out on the balcony watching the birds and the waves rolling onto the beach! We also checked out the stars at night whilst sipping wine ๐
The property is well catered for and perfectly comfortable. The balcony just needs a little TLC.
We had an absolutely relaxing cruisey weekend, just what we needed. Would stay again!
Beautiful secluded holiday rental w fabulous beach views
The view was sublime, and the kitchen well equipped. A couple of different areas to sit and a dining table sitting 8. The beds were comfy and the master w own bathroom and balcony with a beach view. Not fancy but very comfy and homely and had everything you needed including a compost bin! My group had a wonderful time and for the money I thought it was just great.

Excellent property
We really enjoyed our short stay at Copa Beach house. The house was clean and had the best view. We were so lucky to find such a nice house in a terrific spot that would allow has to have our dog with us. We will be back. Just make sure you have your directions with you as it would otherwise be nearly impossible to find.

Hi Susan Thanks for staying. Yes, it is nicely hidden away. Cheers John
The house is located high on the hill with views to the beach. We drove to the beach as the return trip would be quite a climb. It was lovely to sit on the balcony to watch the sun set each evening and the umbrellas were a welcome touch. It's also a short walk to Captain Cook Lookout for some ocean whale watching. The property is very quiet and private and welcoming for our dog. John was great to deal with and very responsive.

Relaxing with beach views and cosy fire
We had a relaxing stay at Copa Beach House - the wide verandah and beach views combined with open plan living made for a great 'away from home' break with the family (including our dog). The fire place and good heating were welcome as we visited in mid winter, and it was nice to have a pretty well equipped kitchen with big bench plus dishwasher. Loved the decor and while the house could probably use a bit of an update soon, that was part of its charm and we would certainly recommend it for folk who don't mind quite a walk to and from the beach. Whale watching from the nearby lookout was a bonus!
Copa beach house looks out over Copacabana beach and sits amongst the trees. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with the beautiful view and the peacefulness of the area. The house was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. The walk down to the beach is easy and the climb back up the hill was great exercise. Taking the car should be considered if itโs very hot or fitness levels are a concern.
The house and grounds were enclosed so safe for our 2 little dogs who were so worn out from enjoying the beach that they never moved all night!
Title says it all. Well maintained older 3 bedroom cottage. Spacious and light filled. Great views south over treetops to beach. Ideal if you prefer to self cater, excellent supply of cooking tools and essentials. Up a steep hill so walking to & from beach could be problamatic, we decided to take the short drive to the beach. Well stocked fuel fire available for the colder months as well as efficient a/c for heating.

We were there three nights but would happily have stayed longer.Copacabana is a fantastic location, with a slower pace than Avoca or Terrigal, making it feel more like an "old style beach holiday". Having said that Avoca remains only a short drive away. The house is down an easily-missed driveway but once you know it's there it's easy to find next time.We didn't try walking to the beach but the walk up the hill would be a hike. Parking at the beach wasn't an issue though. There is a good view of the beach but if you really want to know what's going on down there suggest you bring binoculars (or my son pointed out using my phone's digital zoom also worked).
Perfect for a smaller group or family, this lovely home has everything you would want and the view is the best part. It's up in the hilly area - hence the views. Not an easy walk back from the beach, I think you'd just drive. Safe for your well behaved dog, however for very small dogs I would supervise them on the deck area, the balcony could be squeezed through. Local beach has a dogs welcome area in the middle. Note the ensuite has no door from the master bedroom, no problem for us. We followed the clear instructions from our host to find the property down a steep drive, parking right outside the door and only 5 steps inside the property altogether, for anyone less mobile. Loved this property, would happily book again.
The main bothersome/disappointing aspect was the discovery that there was no door or screen of any kind separating the ensuite bathroom from the master bedroom. This was not made clear in the photos or the listing, and made the second toilet essentially unusable for us.

For anyone reading this review please note that the other toilet is right next to the main bedroom door so not very far away.
Great views, balcony was a truly beautiful place to sit and chill. Lots of beaches nearby. House was clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Would definitely recommend!
Communication was clear and concise, check in was very easy and the flexibility with check out made our weekend away so much more relaxing. The place itself is so beautiful, the photos don't do it justice, we were already talking about coming back again during our stay.
The walk to the beach and restaurants was nice and hilly, about 15 minutes or so, after our first day we preferred to save the time and just drive 3 minutes instead.
Great house in wonderful location with beach and ocean views galore. Would happily stay there again.
