Quiet weekend away with the dogs
Everything about our stay and the property exceeded our expectations. The house and property are so picturesque and the view of the setting sun on the hill is breathtaking. The house itself was immaculate and clean and being tiled throughout, perfect for our two Labradors. Our dogs absolutely loved the huge property to play and explore in. The gardens are beautiful to sit in and the gazebo is a great place to relax out of the sun and wind. We will definitely stay here again.
Beautiful Place and Location
Beautiful grounds and very comfy place to stay - nice warm stove with plenty of wood provided. Rooms very comfortable with extra electric heaters for cold nights. Water piping hot at all times. kitchen has everything you need for a cook up and the BBQ was clean and ready to go! A tad bit dated for those looking for ultra modern and sleek but that is not what this place is about. Great value for money...I would definitely stay again.
Beautiful Hunter Valley retreat
This is a beautifully curated property with magnificent gardens thoughtfully put together. It has a wonderful sense of being away from it all while being only a short drive to all the Hunter Valley has to offer. There is abundant wildlife from owls to kangaroos roaming the property. The cottage is very well set up with good facilities and is well maintained. The hosts were excellent to deal with. We will return!
Lovely property with all the facilities you could hope for and a relaxing outlook. Watching the hot air balloons drift over the Hunter Valley at dawn a particular highlight
Location Location Location!
What a wonderful spot on a hill with a 270 degree view of the Hunter Valley. A nice house with everything you could want and someone has done an awful lot of great work on the beautiful cottage gardens. There are at least four nice sitting areas. With perfect weather we spent a lot of time at the top of the hill. Sunrise, sunset and brilliant stars away from the city light noise we are used to.
Beautiful house, so peacefully situated - a wonderful weekend. Thanks!
Lots of wineries and cellar doors, cafes and restaurants in the Hunter Valley. Also scenic drives, hot air ballooning, music festivals, film and art events. Many wedding and celebration venues.
Outstanding bird watching as Hunter Valley is an 'area of significance' for birds.
Some convict and settler history and aboriginal art exists.
National Parks and State Forests, some with lookouts.
