BOATHOUND PACIFIC HARBOUR On The Canal and Pet Friendly

Boat Hound is a roomy modern duplex/ house, with direct pontoon frontage onto Skipper's canal Pacific Harbour. minutes from the Bribie Passage.
It is located at 1/ 28 Tradewinds Drive Banksia Beach Bribie Island..
The house has 3 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms. 2 bedrooms have queen sized beds and the 3rd. bunk bed The master bedroom has its own TV & ensuite can be closed off from the rest of the house for privacy. An air con. services the open plan kitchen/dining and living areas. The rear deck is fully furnished for alfresco dining or just totally relaxing over a quiet drink with friends (see photo gallery) Bring your own boat, launch it on arrival, moor it at your own back door and park your trailer, or if you don't have a boat you can fish from the pontoon or just sit and relax.

Guests normally supply their own sheets, pillowcases, & towels but if not convenient it can be supplied at extra cost. Also Duplex is self-clean, Air-con/dryer is PAYG with $2 coins to operate. no consumables supplied, and No Wifi.

Enjoy feeling like a millionaire in millionaire's row! Canal living is beautifully serene. You will be in holiday mode the moment you step through the front door. For those days you are not on the water, simply drop a line from the back door & relax. Mud crabs and sandies [both caught from pontoon and the passage] guests have had a ball eating fish they caught from the pontoon.
Lack of a boat won't stop you enjoying your holiday at BOATHOUND.
Incredible Charters can pick up at Bongaree Ph. for charter boat fishing.

Great place to stay. Beautifully presented. Would have been 5 stars if the water to the dock was connected and there was a king bed in the main (but I'm being picky). Had a wonderful time. Would definitely re-visit.

A beautiful holiday house, much bigger than we expected. We loved fishing off the private pontoon and relaxing by the water’s edge. Our little dachshund had the best time exploring the house and garden too. Woolworths and the shops are just a 10-minute walk away, and the oval for early morning walks is right opposite the front door – perfect!

This is our second stay at Boathound. We love the easy access for our boat and the way the property is perfectly set up to accommodate for all our boating and fishing gear. Quite and relaxing stay with beautiful canal and sunset views.

Dishwasher was faulty doonas were full of mites ,no air conditioning in bedroom having to pay 2 for every 4hrs ( this is ridiculous) dryer 2 for 20 min I refuse to use it dog hair under beds air conditioner in lounge room placed in a pretty useless position shower frame works falling out in main bathroom, ridiculous conditions on having visitors ( have to leave by 10 pm ) and cannot stay the night or police will be called and you will be evicted and all monies forfeit.no fish or bait to be kept in fridge or freezer you must use your own ice box ! No Internet and a really big one was the TV in lounge room was made around 1990 it cannot even produce any HD channels so I missed watch the charity shield match between st George and souths that I watch every year could only watch 4 standard channels.cleaning sink for fish on pontoon had water disconnected so that was useless. If you switch on the kettle sometimes it would work sometimes not if you put on the toaster the same time as the jug power would trip new TV in main room is so small you cannot even see it when in bed . Mattresse was extremely uncomfortable. It's like a beautiful house with very cheap and nasty products

Boathound trip

This has been our 2nd stay at Boathound, and my partner & daughter (border collie) loved it !It is a great location, fishing & crabbing fun, dog park right across the road, it has everything.The only thing I would suggest, due to receiving a bit of rain on the trip, would be to update the TV to a HD. Only having the 5 stations was a bit trying sometimes. Apart from that, a great stay again. Thankyou Pauline.

Opportunity to slow down!

My husband and I (and Charlie our dog) really enjoyed our stay at Boar Hound Pacific Harbour. The location was perfect, walking distance to Woolworths and other shops. The position right on the canal was very serene. Our dog had plenty of room to sniff around and there is an off lead enclosed dog park across the road.No wifi if that's important to you.We only used 1 bedroom with walk in robe and ensuite right next door. Bed was comfy, just bring sheets and towels. We had our own pillows. Bring toilet paper also if you are there for more than a couple of days.Communication with owners was a pleasure.

Holiday at Boathound

We had a great stay and our girl (4 legged) really enjoyed the dog park across the road. We caught fish from the Pontoon. Residence was clean and very homely. The only thing would be the TV in the loungeroom needs upgrading due to not being able to pick up HD channels and possibly a bigger microwave. Overall great, we'll be back for stay no. 2!

Holiday on canal

The property was comfortable with all we needed and we enjoyed our stay. It was annoying having to bring our own linen other places we have stayed in provided this. When I booked this place I was unaware we would have to pay for the use of the air conditioner and dryer. We paid a substantial amount to stay there and felt this was rather stingy. Other than that it was a pleasant place to relax.

"We had a great stay, especially as boat owners— the canal views were lovely, and the location was perfect. The unit itself was very spacious, offering plenty of room to relax. However, we would have appreciated easier access to the air conditioner and dryer without having to use a $2 coin box to operate them. In today’s climate, these amenities are more of a necessity for comfort rather than a luxury, especially when on holiday. Overall, a good experience with just a few improvements that could make it even better."

Lovely getaway

Thank you for a wonderful family recharge! The house and surrounding area had something for everyone: fishing, bike riding, great park across the road, close to shopping complex with good coffee and seafood. There was even a boat cafe that went past the pontoon.I must admit the coin meters for the aircon and drier were a real hassle. It would be great if the accomodation just built these costs into the total payment. Also drier was very expensive and didnt dry items as it stopped at 30mins when coins ran out. Apart from the aircon and drier situation the house was family friendly, comfortable and everything we needed for a lovely getaway.

Lovely location. The pontoon was great but no light and no running water. There is no hot tub as advertised. The beds are uncomfortable. The aircon is coin operated so make sure you bring a small ransom in 2 coins- dryer also. Only one aircon in living space nothing for bedrooms. Spent my first hours cleaning. Cockroaches are a deterring flatmate.dog doo in the carport, box of used soap under counter, rusty microwave, rusty freezer,, smelled like wet dog, dog prints steaming down glass doors. Bathrooms were very clean. Beautiful views from back area. Close to ammenities.
