THE CHAPEL
The renovated and refurbished Chapel is a large and luxurious space which was formerly the convent chapel. It forms the north wing of the main convent building.

- Two sleeping areas in separate rooms, both with ensuite bathrooms (one with generous sized spa bath)
- A modern eat-in kitchen, a large living and dining space, and its own furnished outdoor patio area overlooking the gardens.
- European-style central heating is perfect for those cold winter nights.

The Old Chapel was wonderfully comfortable and on such a cold day the central heating was much appreciated, as was the spa bath! The gardens provided a beautiful, tranquil outlook.

Gorgeous Chapel Leura

An extremely comfortable,warm and cosy stay in the chapel. It had everything we needed and on the coldest few days of the year up the mountains, the very efficient central heating kept us so toasty all night. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views front and back. Thoroughly recommended!

We spent 2 very comfortable nights in The Priest's Cottage. The cottage is equipped with all of the basics and then some. Quiet, private, well priced and within very easy walking distance of Leura shops. Decor is a bit eclectic but that is a minor issue. Recommended

Mother daughter getaway

This house (chapel) was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The only hiccup was trying to check in. We arrived the same time as another couple and none of us had a check in code. It was apparently sent via another website but I couldn’t open it. But when I called a lovely young man showed up within minutes and helped us all to Open our doors.

Perfect serenity

The Chapel is a lovely space that is beautifully renovated and decorated to a very high standard. It’s only a 5 min walk to town but is very quiet and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely return.

Long weekend in Leura

We found the property the be spacious, clean, warm and well appointed. The location is great being a 5 minutes walk to Leura shops and away from the crowds. Would highly recommend The Chapel. If staying with another couple at The Chapel be aware that the main bed is not private but this is obvious from the photos.

We only stayed for the one night, wished it could have been a week, an idyllic home, lush garden, everything in the house was just as you'd wish, down to sharp knives in the kitchen (a total rarity in holiday rentals). Would happily recommend his lovely property. Pure delight!

Superb !

Four of us stayed at the Nuns Quarters at St Raphael over a weekend. We had two bedrooms and bathrooms and a large open plan living kitchen area. There was a lovely amount of space which flowed onto an open deck and the garden. We had all the comforts of home, with tasteful décor and quality fittings. The kitchen was amazing, as were the views. It was so comfortable we needed to force ourselves out to enjoy the Blue Mountains!

Nice but don't ask for more towels

Lovely venue, beautiful, and well equipped. But - we stayed 3 days, were given two towels each and the host flatly refused to supply more towels. For the price it was ridiculous stinginess. The attitude really turned us off the property. We travel a great deal and have never come across such counter productive behaviour.

A collection of teapots begun in 1974, when Ronald Hooper, a previous owner of my business 'Bygone Beautys' came across a special teapot. In 1992, we joined forces to create 'Bygone Beautys' and continued from there to grow the collection.
This Treasured Teapot Museum reflects and preserves the diversity of Australian tea-drinking culture. We have now become the largest private teapot collection in the world and have a reputation in the Blue Mountains.
In 2009, 2010 and 2011, Bygone Beautys have been awarded the Hall of Fame award for both peoples choice as well as community contribution on behalf of CR Daniel Myles (Mayor of Blue Mountains City Council), Dave Garner (President, BIZNET) and Randall Walker (Chair, BMLOT).
