We had a wonderful time staying at this charming cottage in Leura. It's tucked away in a peaceful location, far from the busy roads, yet just a 10-minute walk to Leura Mall. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, but the highlight for us was definitely the gas fireplace—just press a button on the remote, and in five minutes the whole place is warm and cozy. The heated sheets were another great touch, especially on chilly nights. The kitchen had everything we needed, including a microwave and coffee machine. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we visit the Blue Mountains!
Lavender Cottage is a great weekend getaway. Myself and two friends stayed for two nights and enjoyed the cottage - it was clean, warm and comfortable. It’s conveniently located minutes away from plenty of restaurants and cafes.
Definitely recommend staying here when visiting the blue mountains!

Great Location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your warm and cosy cottage. A lovely peaceful location and just a short walk to the shops and cafes. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you.
My husband and I stayed 8 nights in Lavender Cottage which had all we needed for a very comfortable stay in beautiful Leura. It was a cold rainy week but the cottage was quickly warmed at the end of a day out by the easy to use gas log fire. The recently renovated bathroom with floor heating was appreciated and there was more than enough equipment in the kitchen. Being at the end of a steep street with some bushland on one side it was quiet while still really convenient to Leura Mall and the train station. A very homely stay; would happily book again. Thanks Kevin and Kay
Highly recommend this property. Small & cosy was perfect for a 2 night stay in the blue mountains in winter. Has heater ( looks like wood) was sufficient to heat the whole house. It was very cold and both beds had electric blankets. Lounge area was roomy & comfortable. Kitchen was well supplied with everything needed. The house is the last on a very steep street. Only one block from main road in Leura. The Tim tams left for us by the owners was highly appreciated. Would stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
Gorgeous cosy cottage that is perfectly suited to the quaint village location of Leura, but also perfectly located near major tourist attractions.
We enjoyed our stay. Great having a fire and electric blankets in the winter. Fully equipped cottage and seamless check-in and communications from property manager.
The cottage was tastefully laid out and the amenities were well thought of and provided. The facilities were just enough and are exactly as advertised. The process from booking till checkout was seamless and flawless.
All of us loved the place and we wish we could be there again.
We wish the owners, the property manager and the team who made this happen a big thank you and wish them all the best.
Great property but if you don’t like steep hills Then you will need a car as it is at the bottom of a steep hill. We were disappointed to find poeple still on the property when we arrived! Especially as it was already a late check in at 3pm! The property agent responded quickly but we were 3 hours late checking in which was far from ideal.
The cottage was just the right size for the 3 of us. The beds were ok, (a bit on the firm side) but good support. We liked the set up inside. The lounge (sofa bed) seat cushions were a bit flat and were a bit uncomfortable after a while. Loved the gas fire place, kept the cottage cosy warm. Everything in the kitchen was great. The yard was great for our dog and kept her safe when outside. There are gaps in the lower yard so wouldn't let dogs down there unsupervised. The cottage is at the end of the street and you can walk through the bush track to meet up with the main street of Leura. We enjoyed our stay and would be happy to stay there again.
This is a sweet little cottage that is clean and really well equipped. The yard is very dog friendly too.

Quiet and cozy
The cottage was on a quiet street not far from the local shops. It was clean and cool when we arrived. It is a bit dated inside but has a good sized yard and was reasonably stocked. It was not as pet friendly as we hoped - there were a few gaps in the fence outback but overall it was a nice private quiet place to stay at.

The cottage is our holiday home. We open it to guest to enjoy Leura and the beautiful Blue Mountains. My wife Kay and I are semi-retired and while we do not live at the cottage we visit regularly. I am a keen bush walker and can even walk directly on trails from the cottage to the spectacular Leura cascades. As well as information about the cottage feel free to message me about walks. local shops, cafes, restaurants and other events in the mountains. We will respond promptly to guest communications through the Stayz portal.
Why they chose this property
We love the Blue Mountains. To live on the top of the escarpment at 1000m surrounded by a unique World Heritage national park is a real privilege. The local villages of Leura and Katoomba are both within a 5 mins drive have lots of history and interesting building. There is an eclectic range of shops, lots of cafe's, restaurants a cinema and entertainment options, especially live music. There are dozens of walks within a short drive and you can even take the path from outside the cottage and walk to Leura Cascades (20 mins) or join the newly renovated Prince Henry Cliff Walk that goes along the edge of the escarpment between Leura and Wentworth Falls. There are also beautiful drives to visit some spectacular lookouts, other mountain villages, wineries in the Megalong valley and the beautiful gardens, depending on the time of year with Spring and Autumn being the most spectacular. As well as the local vineyards, you can also visit orchards and cider farms near Bilpin and a micro-brewery in Katoomba. For the more adventurous you can go Mountain Biking, Canyoning, visit the world class Jenolan Caves (tourist and adventure caves) and Rock climb or Abseil. There is even an artificial rock climbing wall in Leura that is suitable for adults and children. You can hire gear and tour guides for most of these activities in Katoomba.
Its hard to get bored in the Blue Mountains if you love outdoor scenery and activities.
What makes this property unique
Lavender Cottage is a well equipped, charming, cozy hideaway set in unspoilt bushland. It's located in a quiet street around 600m from Leura. You can snuggle up in front of the log effect gas fire in winter and appreciate the newly renovated bathroom with a heated floor. The cottage is surrounded by gardens and if you don't want to go far you can relax in the quiet of the gardens. If the weather is inclement and you don't want to venture outdoors, the cottage has a range of board games, a small personal book library including a number of local guidebooks, a record collection and player / speakers, that will also stream music. We also have TV's, DVD, CD and video player, with a good selection of adult and children's CD's and videos (for those who remember videos).
