From Sydney to Cottage Point it is only a 40 minute drive by car through Ku-ring-gai National Park or a 20 minute sea plane ride to the pontoon at the house.

Enjoy the serenity of Cottage Point with spectacular views from all rooms. Sit back and relax on one of the balconies with friends or relax in the outdoor spa overlooking the water. Those keen to try their hand at fishing can drop a line to catch a wide variety of estuary fish from the pontoon.

The house has it all - equipped with 2 fully integrated Flat Screen TVs and hi-fi system accessible by control panels throughout the house.

The house features four double bedrooms all with spectacular water views and bathrooms on each floor. With two separate kitchens you can arrange an intimate dining experience or casual entertaining on the deck downstairs.

A short stroll will find you at the Cottage Point Kiosk which is a great place to sit and enjoy light meals or pick up some supplies. They also provide hire of motor boats and kayaks. At night you can have an a la carte dining experience at the Cottage Point Restaurant.

Best stay ever

Accomodation was perfect for our family of adults. We were able to get ready for our daughter's wedding, right near the venue. The early check in and late check out was also amazing and we were able to get great use out of the house. Absolute fun stay!

Great house with a beautiful view

Beautiful view, beautiful house and we made good use of the jacuzzi. Only downside was that the WiFi was not working due to storm damage. Malcolm was always responsive and I look forward to renting this place again.

So many cool things to discover.. such a fun place to go to unwind or party. Clean freaks wouldnt love it or anyone who doesnt like a million stairs but other than that its an amazing property and we were blessed with perfect weather which was great

Absolutely lovely!

We like to take our boys fishing and have been to other Stayz accommodation at Cottage Point but Cowan Waters is by far the best! Clean, modern, well kept, luxurious, spacious. The boys loved fishing off the pontoon and in our yacht. It was unfortunate they didn't catch anything. But amazing place to stay! Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Malcolm.

Simply amazing

This place is fantastic. So relaxing and location amazing. We cannot remember the last time we slept in till after 8am due to the serenity. Bed was so comfortable. Choice of 3 balconies so choice of shade or sun was fabulous. Sitting and enjoying a glass of wine and watching the sea planes and boats go by was amazing. Most relaxing weekend we have had in a long time. Thank you Malcolm for providing a wonderful experience. Highly recommend to everyone.

Fantastic long weekend away

Surprised my wife for her birthday with a long weekend at Cowan Waters in early December... many points scored. So much to love about this place - tranquil location, not too far away from Sydney, cafe and very great restaurants nearby. The property itself has everything you could possibly need and more. Accessing, staying and leaving could not have been easier - Malcolm was extremely helpful, efficient and respectful. The biggest problem with Cowan Waters is I've now set a precedent for my wife's birthday that will be impossible to beat!

Beautiful views, but in need of a deep clean

The views from this property are beautiful and having the pontoon was great for fishing and mooring boat, but when booking you should consider few issues. There are no block out blinds in the bedrooms, this mean the kids were up at 5.30am and I woke up in the middle of the night, as the moon on the water is quite bright - bring a mask. There are no flyscreens in the whole property. A lot of windows were locked, but some open and obviously others had kept them open, as there were lots of inspects and even spiders in the house - we get the occasional huntsman at home but this was more than usual for Australia. The house is covered in cobwebs and leaves and needs a good going over with a leaf blower. My friend who arrived first said she also had to wipe down all the outside tables and the coffee table inside before using them. The balcony was full of leaves and she also had to sweep them up. The tiles were filthy and so we did not use the balconies as much as we would have liked. The whole house needs a deep clean, or a review of the current cleaners - there is mould in the grout in the ensuite ect. The design of the bathrooms is poor with no fan in the ensuite and tiny vanities with no space to put stuff. Oh and the ensuite does not have a blind, so while I was having a shower I looked out the window horrified to see a man in a neighbouring property. Luggage racks/stands would also be a welcome addition, as the wardrobes are tiny and everyone put their suitcase on the floor. In general the property isn't really suitable for kids, as the stairs are very steep and part of the upstairs stairs had no balustrade.

Brigette, In regards to your concerns which is not what we normally get from guests I would like to reply as follows. The blinds are block out blinds for sun but you can see through them. The windows do have some locked as this is a legal requirement as we are 10 meters above the ground level so they cannot be accesased by children. Insects and cobwebs are are problem we encounter as we are in the middle of a pristine National Park. The leaves were blown on Wednesday prior to your stay but as you reaise we have a lot of trees and we had high winds so we can't do anything else for you. The property was fully cleaned on Friday morning and our cleaners always clean the coffee tables. The floors were also cleaned prior to your stay but the balcony tiles do accumulate dirt with the rain which is unavoidable. As you were only staying for a weekend I don't know what you wanted in the vanities as we give each one 3 toilet rolls a hair dryer and handwash soap so I don't know what was the problem.

Amazing stay with the best view

The property was the best nature retreat that all of us wanted. With uninterrupted views of sunrise and sunset, this property is the ideal weekend getaway that you are looking for. Only 40 minutes from Sydney making it easier to travel. The beds, pillows and towels were exceptionally comfortable making our stay even better. Malcolm was really supportive by giving us the code way before in time making our trip smooth.

What a treat to wake up to the most spectacular views in the most magnificent house. Such a thoughtful and generous host providing abundant luxurious towels, designer crockery, crisp clean linen, champagne, coffee pods for the Nespresso machine, beautiful orchids in the bathrooms to mention a few. Every small detail had been thought of to make our stay special.
