Ellie's Studio Apartment, Stanley

Ellie's Studio is light and roomy, and located right in the heart of the beautiful historic seaside village of Stanley.
It offers complete privacy, as it is tucked just off the main street, but with quaint cafes, restaurants, shops and galleries right on the door step, and the beaches are only a 250m walk from the accommodation.
The Studio has a pillow top queen size bed with underlay, top quality bed linen and electric blanket. There is a high back Italian leather sofa, a reverse cycle air conditioner / heat pump, a flat screen TV, DVD player and quality timber furnishings. FREE WiFi
The well equipped kitchenette has fridge, microwave, electric hot plates, electric fry pan,kettle, toaster, crockery and cutlery, and a roomy dining area. The bathroom is complete with quality soft towels, a heated towel rail, toiletries, iron and ironing board.
There is a private courtyard and a private off street car park.

About Stanley

Stanley is an historic seaside village, surrounded by beautiful pristine beaches and was settled in 1826. It is predominately a fishing village, with the quaint homes and buildings nestled at the base of "The Nut", an iconic monolith rising 152 metres from the ocean, making this a quaint and unique township. To take a stroll along the pristine beaches revitalises the soul, and the sunrises and sunsets are magnificent.
There is such a lot to see and do in and around Stanley, with wildlife in abundance, including a Pengin rookery, the magical Tarkine, temperate rainforests and the wild west coast, seal cruises, river cruises, falls, historic homes and quaint shops and galleries to explore.
Stanley has a well stocked supermarket, post office, several churches, a pharmacy, a providore, a specialty chocolate and ice-cream shop and many other attractions.
The Seaquarium at the Stanley Wharf is also well worth a visit.

Stanley is renowned for its first class restaurants, cafes and breakfast bars, most of which are located just 20 - 100 metres from Ellie's Cottages. Many show-case our beautiful fresh produce, including fresh seafood, grass fed beef and prime lamb. Hursey Seafood Restaurant has been awarded Best Seafood Restaurant in Australia for 2024. The Stanley Hotel was host to Masterchef in 2010, and has won many bistro awards.

Great location

This heritage property was perfectly located in the Main Street of beautiful Stanley within easy walking distance of the Nut, the penguins, shops and restaurants. It was thoughtfully presented with many little touches that were appreciated. The only negative was the limited cooking/kitchen facilities which meant being fully self sufficient was a little challenging. But we still enjoyed our stay.

Fabulous little cottage

The cottage was very comfortable and the owner has added many little treats and comforts. Our only negative was the skylight above the bed, while it added lovely bright light to the room it was quite confronting if trying to have an afternoon nap or first thing in the morning. But we still enjoyed our stay :)

Cosy and comfortable

The Studio Apartment was clean and comfortable ,with extra welcoming touches - chocolates,interesting books relevant to area,extra toiletries. The location was fantastic for exploring the town, everything was in easy walking distance.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Ellie's studio apartment. It was right in the heart of town and close to walking tracks and great eating places. Linen and bedding where comfortable and luxurious. Little touches of candles and scented soaps really added to the experience. We enjoyed the back courtyard and being able to dry out our walking gear.

Great location just of the main street of Stanley yet quiet at night and close to all cafes, restaurants, hotel, The Nut and beaches etc. The studio had everything we needed - was very clean, spacious and cosy and great attention to detail by the owner. Plenty off street parking. We would definitely recommend staying here- wish we could have stayed longer!

It was so close to the shops that my partner was able to zip to the cafe below in the morning and bring me a hot perfectly made coffee in our comfy bed - it doesn't get much better than that! If you don't want to spend the extra money for a view and just want a home for the weekend or a week, I'd recommend Ellie's.

I own and run my own accommodation in Stanley, Ellie's Spa Cottage and Ellie's Studio, both situated right in the very heart of the village of Stanley.
My husband and I are also farmers, we own and operate a Murray Grey beef cattle stud here in Stanley.

Why they chose this property

This is one of the oldest buildings in Stanley and is heritage listed, however has been fully renovated, but still retains its beautiful character and charm.

What makes this property unique

Situated right in the very heart of the village, only 20m - 500m from all the lovely cafes, restaurants, breakfast bars, shops, the beaches and the golf course.
It also has its own private off street parking right beside the accommodation, and private courtyard
