ABOUT FREMANTLE:
Fremantle is recognised as the best preserved 19th Century seaport in the world. Over 150 buildings in the port city are classified by the National Trust, These include: The Round House which was built in 1831 & is the oldest public building in W.A, The Esplanade Hotel which was built in 1890s and the Fremantle Prison which was built by convict labour in the 1850s.
Fremantle was establlished in 1829 as a port for the fledgling Swan River Colony and was the major city in Western Australia for much of its early history. Fremantle became a city in its own right by 1929, and survived the building demolitions of the 1890s and the 1960s. The city emerged in 1987 when it was the host city for the Americas Cup sailing challenge, as a city rich in heritage and character.
“Freo” as it is also know to the locals, is home to a 500-strong fishing fleet and a vast number of yachts and pleasure craft. Two significant historical replica ships were built here: The HMS Endeavour and the Duyfken which was the first Dutch vessel to chart the Australian coastline in 1666.
The port city of Fremantle is located at the mouth of the Swan River on the West Coast of Western Australia and is part of the Perth metropolitan area. Perth city is only 20 kms away which is a 25 minute cab ride or 30 minute trip by train.
Fremantle is much more than an architectural time capsule. It provides a unique opportunity for visitors to experience and enjoy a range of cultural activities in a relaxed atmosphere. A browse through the markets or leisurely stop at one of the numerous cafes and restaurants will complement your exploration of the arts, making a visit to Fremantle a rich and rewarding experience.
Lonely Planet named Fremantle the #7 top city to visit world wide (Best in Travel 2016). Lonely Planet likes Fremantle's raffish harbour town vibe that attracts free spirits from far and wide, our live music venues, Notre Dame university and our reinvention into a bustling, artsy, counter-cultural capital.

Good location, clean & comfortable
A group of 4 adults who arrived & left on different days for a total of 5 nights for a family gathering in Perth. This was a very easy place for us to stay, spacious, light & airy house, good beds, great shower & good kitchen. Quite a good location for our needs.
We loved our stay at Leisurely Manor - the house was vey well appointed however there needs to be an automatic light our the front as it was hard to find the key in the dark and that front step is a big one!

Thanks Judith for your feedback. Unfortunately there seems to be a mistake with the overall rating of 1 star vs the 5 stars allocated to each section of your review.

Great Place to Stay in Freemantle
We enjoyed our stay at the Leisurely Manor, it was comfortable and roomy. Two AC units that provided heat and cool as required. Double bed in each bedroom. It was nice and clean with new washing machine and a dryer. There is little road noise and close to the main routes into Freemantle.

Thanks for your review Wayne and I am glad you enjoyed your stay at Leisurely Manor, Fremantle.
This is a beautifully renovated property with spacious living area, bathroom and laundry. The third bedroom had no door but we used the door from the living area to close off that back section to give some privacy for that room. This is a lovely area, and quiet, yet still close to shops. A short stroll away is a lovely little cafe, and a short drive away there are major shops. It is about 2km down to the river. All in all a very nice stay.
It’s a nice quiet neighbourhood. The house is huge that it actually have a big and small living rooms. It has well equipped bathroom, laundry and kitchen. There is only one thing that I hope to improve is the gas heater to be replaced with electric heater with heating fluid. I’m an overseas tourist that don’t know how to operate the gas heater in the small living room and also concern of catching fire. Hahaha. Otherwise, everything else is great and my family and I have a great stay :)
The property was exactly as described. Alison was great and prompt to assist with a little problem I had with the WIFI at the beginning of the stay. This property had everything I needed for my stay was clean and the bed linen and towels were lovely. 10 out 10 in my book
Couldn't fault this lovely home, it was clean and comfortable and had everything you needed while being away. It was in a great central location for us. Close to Fremantle and attractions. Highly recommend. Thank you
We had a great week long stay. Great space and kitchen. Bedrooms very nice and huge laundry. The two toilets was very convenient as was the separate TV room for the kids. If security screens on front and back doors and windows would have been able to sleep with breeze coming through instead of using aircon and fans. A few more teaspoons and at least one really good sharp knife for cutting would have been even more awesome. The teabags and loo paper and washing powder etc were great convenient extras. Lovely sheets and flurry crisp white towels. Thank you 😊
We have stayed in this property numerous times and we will again. Comfortable place to stay and not too far from anything

As a full time professional host of over 20 short term rental properties spanning more than 12 years, I make every effort to ensure all guests are comfortable as my other reviews show.
Rest assured that your stay at Leisurely Manor will be enjoyable, the air conditioners work perfectly, there are suitable locks on all the doors and windows and of course there is a manhole cover.
