About this property

Sonoma County Hillside Estate

Our home, set on almost 4 gated and private acres, includes 2 master bedrooms with ensuite with soaker tubs. There is one additional bedroom, 3.5 bathrooms, and 2 fireplaces in the heart of wine country. The house sleeps 6 comfortably. Access to Sonoma Valley, Napa Valley, Russian River, Bennett Valley, and Anderson Valley wine regions within minutes. Relax all day by the solar heated salt water pool with attached hot tub and all night by the fire pit while roasting marshmallows. Nightly sunsets are spectacular, as are the sweeping views of the valley and neighboring horse farms.

The house is decorated with a rustic modern feel. Linen, marble, barn wood, hair on hide, and beautiful artwork complete this look. Included are all the amenities you need for a relaxing and complete vacation including large screen TV in separate family room, WiFi, Sonos surround sound stereo with portable speakers to bring to the pool & firepit. A large and full kitchen for cooking gourmet meals, outdoor grill and eating areas, and a large farm table that seats 10.

The surrounding pastures are home to our four miniature donkeys. Don’t worry there is no care for them required on your part! The property is landscaped with olive trees, lavender, fruit trees, grasses, and succulents.

We take pride in our home and hope you will enjoy every bit of it. Whatever we can do to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable, we are happy to do. We have back up batterie’s for the solar system so if there is ever a power outage in the area you will still have power. With the exception of hot tub.

This property was an amazing place to call our “home base” for a week. The home is beautifully appointed. The location is central and makes exploring the Sonoma/ Napa area fairly easy. Everything You could need is provided and the donkeys were the icing on the cake! Loved them!

Amazing property near Santa Rosa.

We loved our stay at this property. It is beautiful inside and has amazing landscaping, a gorgeous pool and spa connected to the pool. It is very centrally located within Sonoma Wine country. The owners were great to work with. We would absolutely love to stay here again when we come back to Sonoma.

We absolutely loved our stay in wine country with 3 couples - all high school buddies and our wives that are a tight knit group. The owners were so wonderful and easy to communicate with - and they have a local host to show the features of the house on day 1, of for any minor issues that may come up during a stay. A fabulous home base in wine country

Our group of 3 couples loved our stay at Aisling’s property. The location and views are stunning and the house itself is so well decorated and stocked — it’s clear people actually live there without it feeling too personal. Santa Rosa Delight

Great property with everything you could want. The pool is huge and very refreshing on hot summer days. The miniature donkeys are fun and the grounds are serene. It is VERY quiet at night and beautiful sunsets are included! Also, it is within 30 minutes of many awesome wineries in Sonoma and Napa. We will be back!

Awesome Experience

We can’t say enough about this gorgeous property and the owners. The property is immaculate and had all the comforts of a luxury hotel, complete with enough robes for everyone to use for the hot tub. The decor was amazing and could easily be featured in any decorating magazine. The surrounding views were breath taking and the four donkeys would join us each evening for a campfire from their side of the fence!

Beautiful mountain oasis

Came for a trip to the wine trails and we had the most lovely time. The property is beautiful- incredible views and the donkeys were so sweet. The house has everything you could need and more. I wish i could have stayed longer. I didn't even get to sit in all of the wonderful little nooks and use all of the amenities. I guess we will have to come back! The hosts were wonderful and super easy to communicate with.

Beautiful property in Sonoma Wine Country

My wife and I came from New Orleans to visit with several relatives that live in the area. The house is in a great location and the property has magnificent views. The owners have done a good job decorating and it feels like a cozy, but luxurious home. The outdoor atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. The description in the listing is accurate! The donkeys (yes, donkeys!) are fun and friendly. We are already thinking about coming back next summer.

Annual Wine Trip

Speechless! Truly the most beautiful home we've rented in the last 5 years for our annual wine trip. Three couples so the two en suite masters were perfect and the bath for the third bedroom is just outside the bedroom door. Communication with the owner was outstanding. Pictures don't due it justice. I would recommend staying here without any hesitation and hope our travels bring us back to Sonoma County so we can stay again! Family stay in Wine Country

This VRBO has everything you possibly could ever want or need to make yourself at home! The home and property are very clean and gorgeous! We were told to make ourselves at home and there was extras so we didn’t have to worry about what we bought or packed. Sleeping was comfortable and quiet. We felt safe in the sweet neighborhood. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub in our down time.It was a great central location to Healdsburg, Sonoma and Napa wineries. I hope to be able to stay here again on another visit.

Another wonderful visit!

This was our second stay at the Taylor Mountain farm. We had a fabulous time! The home is fantastic! Relaxing by the pool, in the hot tub, or taking in the spectacular sunsets...this property is a wonderful retreat. We enjoyed a few meals at the house, and also visited a winery and restaurants in Napa valley. This trip we experienced Matanzas Creek winery, only a 10 min drive from the house! The donkeys were entertaining, and we enjoyed sharing our apples and carrots with them. Thank you for another memorable visit to Santa Rosa!

We absolutely LOVED staying at this house. It was one of the best experiences we have ever had with house rentals. Aisling went out of her way to be accommodating. And Savana is Fabulous. Every single thing you could want is provided for. The interior is stunning. The exterior is an oasis with amazing views, plenty of seating, lots of shade and don’t forget the adorable donkeys!!! Gorgeous and Relaxing

3 couples (6 adults) came here to enjoy a relaxing weekend together. The pictures somehow don't do justice to the property! The home itself is perfect, very clean, well appointed, comfortable, and the kitchen had all that we needed. The property grounds and pool are beautiful and of course everyone loved enjoying the different birds, deer, and miniature donkeys. Every room was very comfortable and everyone enjoyed all accomodations. As avid house renters, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place! The location is great too! Annual Wine Excursion to Sonoma Valley

We annually visit Sonoma Valley since we are wine members at various wineries. We absolutley fell in love with the property as soon as we arrived. The view, the privacy, its convenient location to all our destinations, the cleanliness, house furnishings and up to date appliances & sound system and your four 4-legged full time tenants made our stay very enjoyable. The only advice I can give which may be of help in making future quests stay more enjoyable, is to expand on your list of local restaurants (Sonoma Grille & Bar, Sunflower Caffe) and offer a list of local thngs to do and places to visit (Armstrong Redwood Park, Botanical Garden, Jack London State Park, Healdsburg and Sonoma Plazas, etc.) in your welcome packet. Otherwise, everything else was perfect and thanks for being a terrific host. We will very much consider staying at your home again when we next visit the area. Best wishes.

Amazing wine country retreat

Starting with great communication, this was a wonderful experience at this beautiful secluded estate-quality property. The grounds include the beautiful pool and hot tub where one can view spectacular sunsets across the surrounding valley. Stargazing is first class as you roast your s’mores on the fire pit. The house itself is appointed with carefully curated modern/rustic antiques and features which make this an unforgettable experience. Fully-equipped kitchen made cooking at home a pleasure. A great romantic getaway choice. We had great fun interacting with the miniature donkeys which also reside n the grounds.

Beautiful

I got this property for my wife and her girlfriends to celebrate her birthday. While I wasn't there, I received several comments on how nice the property is and how much they enjoyed it. There was plenty of communication to make sure there was ease of getting to the property. I was also given a recommendation for a chef from the property owner which the ladies were so impressed with the food and service. The Owners were very responsive and considerate in assisting me for surprise for my wife.

Why they chose this property

We bought this property because it feels so removed from our busy city lives and yet it is only one hour from door to door. It is close to the best wine regions in the world and it affords us the opportunity to entertain our friends and relax on a very regular basis. The home is set up to provide ample room and privacy and allows multiple people to be here without feeling like you're in anyones way.

What makes this property unique

It's the view that got us. There is a spectacular sunset view every night. And although we have neighbors, it is a completely private property. Everyone on "The Hill" is friendly and neighborly. And the barn allows us room to have our pets, do projects, and park our cars.
