About this property

This property is set up as a very comfortable home and is more often than not used as home by the property owners. However being travellers themselves there are times when they are able to share their property with others.
The property is fully equipped with everything you may need unlike some holiday rental properties that are used exclusively for rentals. This property also features on my own 2 Lakes site if your preference is to deal directly and with no big web fees.

It has all the home comforts and is on the lake edge. It has a jetty that you may tie your boat to. If you're into fishing, or water sports Lake Okareka has all this on your doorstep. The lake is well stocked with Rainbow trout. The city of Rotorua is only a 10-15 minute drive from the property.
The following best describes the bed and room configuration:
There is one bedroom with a queen bed upstairs and the downstairs bedroom has a double bed and ensuite.
The other upstairs bedroom has twin beds and two trundle beds - so teenagers or kids would most likely need to share that room. There is a good bathroom upstairs. Linen for the trundle beds is in the wardrobe.

A Lovely Home Directly on a Quiet and Beautiful Lake

This home has to rank as one of the best VRBO experiences that we have had. It is a gorgeous home directly on the lake and, though the photos make it look great, it is actually even better. Great beds, and lots of different places to hang out inside, though the outside is even better with a big deck and a dock with lots of comfy outdoor furniture. It is quiet yet within a 15-minute drive to Rotorua (you certainly need a car). A large kitchen, well stocked, a nice laundry, beautiful gardens. Everything is perfect (one note: There is no A/C, so it can get hot on warm days, but just close curtains during the day and open windows and doors in the evening, and all is good. We would happily return; indeed, we'd love to live here full time! The owners and the manager were great to deal with.

A beautiful spot

The house is located right at the edge of the lake. The view is stunning. It would be nicer if shampoo and hairdryer was provided. One of us had to sleep with wet hair.

Beautiful setting conveniently located!

Comfortable home with everything you need. Our highlight is the private jetty which means only one launch at the beginning of our stay and one at the end! Only 15 mins to Rotorua but feels like you’re out in the country. Lovely walks and bird life. My teenagers love it!
