Solid construction, well equipped, firm beds and the fireplace kept the house warm. Quiet location, easy walking to everywhere in Harrietville. Will definitely be back.
For our group of motorcycle fanatics, all wanting to stay in comfort but close to some great roads and twisties, you can get no better than Feathertop.
Rooms and beds are very comfortable. Two large lounge areas to relax after long days of riding, all sourrounded by this quiet village...but walking distance to the pub.
This is our second yearly trip to the area and Feathertop is our go toplace to stay.
Beautiful cosy home, stayed very warm throughout the cold nights thanks to the wood fire. Running river is breath taking. Locals are down to earth, visited the snowline hotel a couple of times and recommend the snowline lager; The Redgum Bar & Bistro has a warm & welcoming atmosphere - shout out to Sam who makes killer deserts (not only taste, but presentation 10/10). The lemon sorbet from the cafè was blow your mind tasty. Overall, we had a fantastic time, highly recommend!
A long weekend away with mates to ride the roads of the Victorian Alps and what better location than Harrietville and what a fitting lodge than Feathertop.
For 6 riders we had more than enough space and facilities for the weekend. An ample size a nd provisioned kitchen, clean and comfortable bedrooms, a large dinning lounge area for post ride talks and a huge covered area to most importantly park our bikes.
Locted a short walk from the bakery for breakfast and the excellent Harrietville Hotel for dinner (the chicken wings are amazing)

Beautiful rustic house but bit scary
We enjoyed our stay but we had a scary second night - the TV and lights came on early morning (about 4ish) and woke us up. It was super weird as we were all asleep and can’t explain why it happened. It was our last night luckily as I’m not sure my kids could have stayed another night. Would be interested to know if there was a rational explanation or if this has happened before. It’s certainly not something we have experienced previously.

Thanks Jane!
We hadn't been made aware of this by your group, and haven't heard of it before! We would assume it was maybe a power surge?
Nothing sinister that we're aware of ;) We're sincerely sorry it upset your family so much and hope you enjoyed your visit aside from the power issue!

My young adult children and I had a lovely stay . Convenient to Mt Hotham skiing and in a lovely rural setting. The home is very comfortable with everything we needed and plenty of space.

Fantastic place to stay. Lovely cottage placed in beautiful area. Very clean. Could not ask for better. Highly recommended.
Place was great. Staff are really good and easy to get in touch with. House was a little quaint with cobwebs around general areas. Disc on the table was a massive eyesore but everything else was great. Kitchen and facilities were good. Had a great time. Don't blow the haunted trumpet.
Really lovely place to stay with the Family. Close to the snow, close to bright.
Clean facilities, comfy beds with electric blankets.
Great property for the kids to run around

Beautifully designed property in very quiet location. We stayed 5 nights whilst skiing at Mt Hotham, about 45 min. away. Well stocked with everything you need and the house has real charm and style.
