The house was clean, the deck was lovely to sit on, and the location was great. Only issues - not enough drinking glasses or mugs. I would suggest adding more large mugs as there were only 2 and there were 8 of us.

Overpriced Hygge house
We were 3 x 60+ singles who stayed in Harrietville for 2 nights. 2 were travellers from the UK. The house has a nice living area with pretty views of the garden. But we were surprised there was no WIFI. Our visit was Mon-Wed in March and many places in Harrietville were closed. The property was quite expensive and the price increased depending upon how many bedrooms were used. We opted for 1x Queen and 1x 2 single beds. Unfortunately the single beds were very narrow and more suited to kids than adults. I ended up sleeping on the floor using couch cushions. Prior to check in, the host required acceptance of a long list of terms and conditions which made me feel quite unwelcome. There was a fabulous new TV but only a limited choice of old DVD's.
We stayed here in July. Hygge is only 1 hour away from Dinner Plain which is a dog friendly snow town. The houses fire place was perfect for the cold nights watching tv. Perfect family friendly and dog friendly home away from home.
We had a fantastic time in this really lovely house. It worked out really well for us, three couples with two children. A spacious yet cosy central living space, very clean and a fully equipped kitchen for cooking too. Please make sure to read all of the notes in the welcome email as I missed the detail to bring kindling and fire lighters (closest shops are in Bright). Great walks from the house, pub down the road, we would love to stay again!
We loved our stay! The perfect kid friendly accommodation. High chair, potacot and toys all provided. Super simple and stress free. For those wanting to let the kids run in the snow, the nearest place with free parking is dinner plain. The food and kid/dog friendly harrietville hotel motel is my pick in town for a meal out. We will be back
A clean, modern and comfortable house nestled in Harrietville. In fine weather the large deck is a great spot for looking out over the valley, and when the weather closes in the wood fire makes the main room cosy and warm. We really appreciated the convenience of all the appliances (such as the sandwich toaster, blender, and espresso coffee machine) and the fact that linen and towels were provided. The location is brilliant - an easy walk to Harrietville’s pubs and cafe (and mountain bike park), close to Mt Hotham and less than 30 mins drive to Bright.

Warm as toast!
The house is warm and clean and very comfortable. It is situated in a quiet street just a short walk down to the village and has lovely views. We didn’t miss not having tv and enjoyed staring at the fire and listening to the sounds of the birds! It is a lovely house for families or groups and has everything you need.

Perfect Pet Friendly Paradise
We loved the morning sun on the deck, the giant windows looking out onto the bushland and kookaburras, the generous living space and the clever design of the house that makes it perfect for a group of friends! Our dog loved relaxing on the deck and it was great having a secure dog run to keep him safe when we went out.
Really good value - a beautiful home within walking distance to Harrietville and alpine walks.
