About this property

BELLE VUE BEACH HOUSE “AWARD FINALIST 2020"

Belle Vue Beach House was recently nominated by Stayz Accommodation in their top 20 most popular holiday houses for 2020 with only two being nominated in Tasmania for this national award. Belle Vue Beach House was short-listed for its coastal, cray fisherman’s shack, aesthetic and ideal summer views at Binalong Bay.
A classic Tasmanian cray fisherman's shack that, until its recent extensive renovations, has remained untouched for the past 60 odd years.
Perfectly positioned opposite the famous Binalong Bay swimming beach, the breathtaking, uninterrupted views are truly the most pleasing and rewarding experiences that this unique beachside environment has to offer.
There is no need to get in the car and drive to where the main attraction is, nor is there any need to scale great heights to accommodation at the top of the hills to see what is on offer, Belle Vue Beach House has it laid out right in front you, all within easy walking distance, even to the Meresta Eatery which is only 200 meters down the main road from us.
With its north-facing orientation from the expansive deck, you can soak up the hypnotic views of the Bay of Fires, famous for its endless private bays of explosive coloured boulders, pure white sand and pristine ocean.
Within an easy 10-minute drive from the east coast's largest town, St Helens, Binalong Bay is the perfect place to unwind and forget about the outside world as time beats to a different drum here.
Also topping the list of the world's most emerging destinations, international guidebook ' Lonely Planet' nominated this location as one of the world's top spots and stated; "this is the secret edge of Tasmania, laid out like a pirate's treasure map of perfect beach after sheltered cove, all fringed with forest . . . now is the time to visit as the crowds are sure to follow!"

Belle Vue Beach House is positioned perfectly to offer you quality interior furnishings and finishes to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.
The front outside deck, which features the best views of the Bay Of Fires, offers substantial opportunity for entertaining and relaxing while taking in all the bay has to offer. Some treats may catch you by surprise. Such as large pods of dolphins, 40 or more, accompanied by seals, coming within metres of the shoreline in their pursuit of a feed of the ever present 'black back' salmon. Even Humpback, Southern Right and Orca whales can be watched in season right from our deck on their migrations north and south, generally hanging around and playing for days on end. There is also a secret population of fairy penguins living their lives right under our noses. But please don't tell anyone!
For fishing enthusiasts, the area is known as the 'Game Fishing Capital' of Tasmania with large schools of salmon, tuna and even marlin on the menu. For fly-fishing enthusiasts, take your choice of ocean, estuary or freshwater pursuits with some of Tasmania's best trout waters within an easy drive.
Belle Vue has recently been renovated with a contemporary modern edge, but still maintains that cosy, intimate, beach house feel that you will appreciate and enjoy. Offering 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 with laundry facilities), one fabulous open plan living/dining area with a fully equipped kitchen for entertaining and quality furnishIngs throughout.
If you can't be bothered slaving over the bbq, head down to the Meresta Eatery /Cafe, it's only 200 metres from our door step.
Alternatively, try your hand at our authentic Italian Wood Fired Oven, which also creates some fantastic roasting options for the budding chefs amongst you!
The 3 bedrooms offer 2 Queen size beds, one with ensuite bathroom and 1 double bed and 1 single bunk bed.
All new appliances and equipment, including bedding and linen.

Activities offered in the area and surrounds include: fabulous endless beach and bush walking, sensational world class mountain bike trails, cycling, canoeing, kayaking, surfing, deep sea game fishing, golfing and tennis.
Accessible noteworthy locations for a full or part day road trip from Binalong Bay include: Pyengana Dairy Company for their award winning cheeses, (approx 30 min drive), St Columba Falls (approx 40 min), Freycinet National Park, Wineglass Bay, Coles Bay (approx 1.5 hr), St Helens village/wharf/shops (10 mins) Lease 65 for sensational oysters that you can take back and enjoy with bubbles on our deck and the Moor & Smith Restaurant in St. Helens for great local produce.
If you are planning on touring around Tasmania, Binalong Bay is the perfect place to base yourself for a few days as so many places of interest can be reached within an hour or two's drive from here. The immediate attraction that grabs you here is the endless beautiful beaches and surroundings but the peaceful, laidback atmosphere is often what people enjoy the most.
We often hear our guests comment;

"l wish we had booked our stay at Belle Vue Beach House for longer, 2 days in Binalong Bay is just not long enough".
