Ask a questionAbout Tina Gonsalves
We love airbnb - We travel the world staying in holiday rentals, so we know what makes a great stay, so you will love to stay in our abodes. I am an artist. My husband, Matthew Wild is a chef. Our son, Pablo Wild is ten and sees the world as his home. Our baby, Hugo is three, and loving the adventures. We travel a lot, but when we are not, we live between Beautiful Port Douglas, Wonga Beach and Amazing Berlin. Come and stay in our charming homes oozing art, soul and creative vibes. Our homes are created with love, lots of hard work, and a passion of collecting and creating. We search the world for items we love. As much as possible, we recycle building materials, and upcycle furniture. Our houses aren't fussy or pretentious, but they are all about charming you, making you feel great, and celebrating the creative spirit.
Tina Gonsalves purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why Tina Gonsalves chose Port Douglas
This was our first home, where we bought back Pablo when he was a baby. Its rare to find such a beautiful space in Port Douglas (a lot of the units are cavernous boxes). The light, the breezy airiness, the wood panelled construction, the spacious bedroom, and the beautiful way the living room opens to the verandah we instantly fell in love with. We kept traveling with our work, so we started holiday renting the Artists' Cottage, and it proved so popular, that it was hard to move back into.
What makes this Cottage unique
The Artists' Cottage is built in true north Queensland style, capturing the light and sea breeze. Its known as the largest one bedroom apartment in Port Douglas. The feel is truly tropical, chilled out and spacious. The verandah is the perfect spot to sit, read a book and slow your self down. The bedroom is abundantly spacious, the perfect space to wake up in. The kitchen is the a joy to cook in. Newly renovated, with bespoke benches and cupboards, and containing all you need to make the best meal. The artwork is collected internationally,
