Perfectly positioned with easy access to shops and restaurants. The apartment was also larger than we expected with a great yard overlooking the Coral Sea.

Stunning views and a fantastic location in Port Douglas. Plenty of room in this lovely apartment for everyone to have their own space. Just a quick walk to beach and shops.
The access to the beach was amazingly close, 3minute walk, with lookouts along the way that were great for sunrises and sunsets.The views from the balcony were beautiful. The place was spacious and cool and clean.The pool was extra special and very much enjoyed.it was also a 3minute walk to the main street of cafes and shops.We had an apartment on the 4 floor, so we had a few flights of stairs to climb. Also access from the main street to the apartment on foot, does require a short steep walk. All doable with one step at a time.We had a very relaxing time and highly recommend Hill 5
The unit was perfect for our tribe of 6. Lots of space, comfy beds and a magical outlook over 4 Mile Beach. We spent hours lounging in the pool - temperature was perfect. The location was great with Macrossan St a short stroll down the hill.
Awesome apartment with amazing views of four mile Beach and the ocean. Plenty of room for three couples, super comfortable beds, great kitchen if you want to stay in and cook for yourself (which we didn't do that often). Warning...no gym...but you don't need that as you climb the 68 steps from the car park. Great access to beach, shops and restaurants. Insert warning number 2....you get to walk off dinner and drinks by climbing two short but steep hills and those 68 steps. Perfectly positioned for the beautiful headland walk and super easy walking access to the lookout for those early morning sunrise photos. All in all highly recommended accommodation
Lots of exercise walking up the hill and then the steps. Lovely outlook from the property. Great to have breakfast on the front terrace and dinner on the balcony overlooking the pool.
A few negatives though:
The bedroom doors are louvred meaning zero privacy, this is compounded by the fact that all bedrooms are next to each other and have no floor coverings.
The family bathroom is substandard in that it is a major and potentially dangerous climb into the shower, which is over the bath. The bathroom has no fan and it was impossible to open the window.
Overall the property is showing its age and requires updating. The small Weber Q bbq is pretty small for the scale of the property,

Those who have mobility issues need to be aware of the extensive stairs.
Privacy concerns as the bedroom doors were louvred & so provided very little privacy
Beautiful place to stay and short walk to main st. Everything you need is in this place and the views are beautiful. Very comfortable. Only downside is all the stairs you have to drag your luggage up and back..... apart from that it was amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hill #5. The location is fantastic with views out to the ocean and down four mile beach, as well as being a short walk to the restaurants on Macrossan St. The apartment is tiled throughout and spread across a few levels with lots of different spaces so the family wasn’t tripping over each other. Our host was very quick to respond to a small toilet leak and super generous with check in and late check out times. Thank you for a great stay - thoroughly recommended.
Great accommodation in quiet corner of Pt Douglas. Choice of outdoor spaces gave flexibility to enjoy the sun and views. Nice pool. Just be aware of the unit has quite a few steps required for access. Very enjoyable stay.
