Welcome to High View Haven -A cute beach cottage in a bush setting withocean views, only a stones throw fromthe beach.






Set on a rusticbush block, High View Haven suits groups up to 11 people with 4 bedrooms including one self contained flat. There is a well equipped kitchen, outdoor BBQ and deck overlooking the ocean.






Perfect for getaways with family or friends, designed withkids and pets in mind.



The cottageis located in Surf Beach, NSW, which is 10 minutes from Bateman's Bay and is two minutes walk to Wimbie Beach. This beach is tranquil with small waves great for kids, supping, kayaking and snorkelling around the rocks.






A short 10 min drive to Bateman's Bay. But you could put the car away with coffee shops, restaurants, supermarket and bottle shop all within an easy walk (10 minutes) within Surf Beach.






Unfortunately, the house is not available to schoolies groups and noise restrictions are in place after 10:00pm



Things to note: the backyard is not fenced (but there is a secure large deck area) and the driveway is unsealed but works well.

Love this place. It’s your quintessential south coast holiday house. It has absolutely everything you need. Walk to 2 beautiful beach and the bush track all the way around the coast. The south coast is about slow days at the beach, reading a book, relaxing and eating oysters. The kitchen is very well equipped and I didn’t even have to go out for coffee. Dog was super happy and Wimbie beach just heaven for dogs. The teenagers loved seperate space downstairs and the sea view is always the cherry on top . Will be back.

Perfectly located beach house

The house had everything we needed and was lovely & so comfortable. We had 3 generations of humans, plus dogs and everyone felt at home. Very convenient location with beautiful views, a fantastic range of beaches and you could go to sleep hearing the waves. We had a great time and plan on coming back next year

Fantastic location, easy walk to a dog friendly beach. Everything we could need and comfortable and convenient layout. Communication was exceptionally easy and smooth. We would definitely stay again and highly recommend! ❤

What a pleasant place to stay! 7 of us stayed over 2 nights and it felt very laid back from the start. Enough room to separate, good sized and well equipped kitchen, the self contained bed and bathroom downstairs a bonus. Good location with bay views from the back verandah and local shops nearby. Absolutely recommended.

Relaxing haven steps from the beach

Thank you so much to the amazing hosts who have thought of everything. This property was a pleasure to stay at. Easy to communicate and check-in, and you will host arranged in-house massages for us from Matty who we would highly recommend! We stayed with our dog and went to the beach multiple times a day as it is so close to the property and dog friendly beach. He loved drying off on the deck in the sun. Huge outdoor couches with outdoor fire on the deck was perfect for wine and cheese and local seafood as well as reading and naps whilst watching the water, birds and trees. The location was very tranquil and convenient to local attractions. Super quiet! Lovely styling and decor, lots of seating and space to relax. Comfy bed/linen and fluffy towels. Well appointed kitchen and lots of books/games. This would be great for a family or multiple couples/big group. Thanks again!

Left a day early

Our stay was disappointing. So things to note, no mention of the unsealed driveway which had a big root / drop at half way, people without a Ute / SUV could easily ground out, the front fly screen didnt open fully and banged the step wall, the door handle was shonky and felt like it could fall off. After entering every room smelled strongly of old dust (had to buy an air freshener and Glen 10), the lounge (also smelled of old carpet) had an ant problem on the floor and kitchen sides, the floors seemed to have been cleaned but in every corner and under every piece of furniture there was dead bugs old dirt, the kitchen had a pile of sand next to the back door. The shower had a huge cobweb with dead bugs that kept falling down and the shower door hits the light shade making it annoying to get to the towel rail. The back deck needed a broom of debris, which was understandable due to storms, but the table and many spots of the floor appeared have sticky stains probably from bbq's of previous guests, so we didn't want to clean that and therefore couldn't use. We couldn't find an airer which is essential with family beach days. The owners were very responsive to email, they've put effort into catering for guests, with good books, kids toys / games, water toys etc and they provided laundered sheets / towels which was lovely, arrival lollies (although ferrero rocher / nut allergies), but when you pay a lot of money for a property we do expect it to be cleaned to a better standard.

Long weekend away with friends

A quiet property in a beautiful location that is only a short distance to beautiful beaches. The interior has been renovated and is well equipped with everything you could need. The hosts were super helpful and friendly.

Family reunion

Lovely beach house with everything we needed. Enjoyed our walks to Surf Beach for coffee and chats with the locals and their dogs. Thank you for the opportunity to attempt SUP in the surf!

A short getaway to a beautiful location

We booked this stay in February in preparation of a busy end of year and early start we would have. The location of the house to distance to the beach I did not anticipate it to be so close. This house is very accommodating for sunny or wet weather. Board games books and Netflix kept us company during a few rainy moments. 10 min drive to Mogo zoo and into Batemans Bay. Beautiful sized outdoor furniture and view of the beach from the balcony. Lots of recommendations in a personalised book made just for the property from take-away to adventures. Kirsty was a great host and easy to contact at all times. We would definitely book back here.

Beautiful beach house which is clean and has a nice view

We loved staying here. The owners were lovely. Beautiful house with a big deck and gorgeous view. The chocolates were a lovely welcome ☺️. The downstairs room doesn't have internal access though which should be stated. Would stay here again.

Hi - Kirsty and Jason here! Thanks for checking out our home at Surf Beach. We live in Canberra and we have two young sons and two cheeky border collies. We have a passion for renovating and creating beautiful spaces.

We got into this business because we weren't finding what we wanted in our south coast holidays and wanted to do something a bit different. We wanted to bring our whole extended family away with us, including the furry ones and that pooches would enjoy the beach as much as we do. We wanted to relax and know our kids would be safe, where they couldn't reach breakables and weren't able pull down a bookcase on top of them or turn on the oven. We wanted to holiday at a place that was comfortable, not pretentious and was nicer than what we have at home. We wanted to know that if our kids spilt yoghurt on the couch, it would just wipe off. After may trips to the coast, we decided that we would just have to make this space ourselves.

We never intended to create the successful business we have, but it turns out there's a bunch of people who want all these things too.
