About this property

Waterfront house with large deck and dock. WiFi, No cable TV

Charming little house with view of the water. We have a large deck off the house and an additional deck over the water with a fish cleaning table and fresh water. Large Dock, rebuilt in 2013, will accommodate 4 boats. Electricity for one boat is available on the dock.
You share the dock and utility room with Bob and Lisa, who have a houseboat tied up there.
Utility room has washer and dryer and a second bathroom.
Single bath has shower, and separate wash room has 2 basins. Sheets and towels are stocked. One bedroom has king bed, the other a queen.
Remodeled in 2011, the kitchen has propane gas stove, dishwasher, microwave, lots of counter space and is fully furnished. We just installed a whole house water filter system. The cupboards are stocked with some condiments and all you need to bring are the perishables, your swimsuit and toothbrush.
Boat launch facilities or boat rental at Sugar Barge Marina are nearby, 5 minutes drive.
The house has a propane stove for heat in the winter and ceiling fans for the summer. It is well insulated. Propane barbeque and large patio table on the deck are available for your use. Parking space is below the house in the front driveway and yard.
Water skiing or boating: We are 5 minutes to fast water and located next to Emerald Point Marina. Launching is available at Sugar Barge Marina, 5 minutes away. Boat rental is also available there.

Lovely place to stay on the delta!

We stayed just a few nights, but would have loved to stay more. Great, easy access to water for boating, paddling, or swimming off the dock, and has outside seating areas as well. House is comfortable with a nice big room and deck for hanging out. The delta and dock is great for easy fishing as well. Patricia

Time away with the guys

Rented the house for my Brother's birthday weekend just to get away took my dad and two nephews over the weekend we fished of the dock my dad cought two 23, 24 inch stripper my nephew cought a 23 inch stripper that I think he is going to remember. Good spot to hang out with the guys. We be better if we had a boat not many places to fish of the shore.

Great fishing! Sit on the dock and chill!

If you want to walk out the back door and fish, this is the place. The house is very well stocked, nicely maintained, and the neighbors are friendly. In fact, every one we met or spoke to on Bethel Island was friendly and offered fishing tips. This was our first time to the Delta area, and we will be back. We did miss having cable tv or internet access, but had more time to enjoy the peaceful rear decks and watching boats go by. We are seniors and would recommend this property to anyone, seniors, families, fishermen!

Out Trip to Bethel Island

We really enjoyed out stay--the house was very comfortable and well done. The only recommendation we have would be more comfortable seating in the main room. The chairs were really uncomfortable--very old and broken down and slippery on the floor. The location is great and the dock for the boat was perfect. Loved the big deck, table and chairs. Lisa and her husband were very hospitable and gracious and we enjoyed meeting them and talking to them. Joe's Bar and Grill is a fabulous place to eat--staff were excellent as well as the food. We also had a great meal at the Rusty Porthole. We would definitely recommend staying here and hope to do so in the future.

Great property for the price

I'll keep it simple Pros: -Nice dock for boat parking -Great area / community (Sugar Barge close) -One of the beds was very comfortable -Good communication with owner -Friendly house boat tenants -Cute house -Low cost Pros: -All house water smells strongly of sulfur or eggs -Kitchen stove only works correctly on one or two burners -No AC -No WiFi -House boat people take a little away from the privacy, especially when walking past the front door in the morning while in your underwear. -Parking could be better becuase 2 vehicles were in the driveway making it hard to store truck with trailer, most likely belonging to house boat people. -One of the beds needs to be replaced, very saggy.

The accommodations were very comfortable. We were able to move throughout the house with ease and relax after a long drive. The house had everything we needed to make our stay complete. We were able to use the appliances with ease and everything was clean including the restroom and bedrooms. The best feature for us was the dock which was only a few feet from the house and gave us access to the river for fishing.

Great for people like to fish

People live on the houseboat at the dock so it makes people feel uncomfortable using to dock. The bed we slept in was old and saggy and hurt my back. It’s great for a fishing cabin but not for entertaining inside, but great porch for entertainment.

Sweet little home

We had a very nice stay at Cathy and Ron's place. Went with my brother, nephew, and two bass boats. Great place to get away! Nice and clean! Perfect kitchen with plenty of room for cooking with a cool island. Two bedrooms with nice queens. I slept on the living room hardwood floor with a few blankets. There was plenty of room for the two boats which was a blessing. Also there was lots of room for two trucks and two trailers. One of the best features of this property was the fish cleaning station which came in so handy. I had my nephew hold the water hose while I cleaned the stripers. I'm sure you will have a great stay at this diamond on the delta. Thanks for the memories Cathy and Ron! Darren

The property is located on a quiet street next to the marina. The house was clean and well equipped with everything we needed. Our hosts were quick to respond to our questions and accommodating. Downside was the decks and furniture were dirty with lots of cobwebs.

Lovely home on the water with everything you need!

We had a lovely family vacation in this cozy spot on the water. The heat wave was rough with no A/C but Cathy warned us ahead of time so we were ready with floaties and fans. My son and daughter both caught their first fish off the dock- we were so excited! Little blue fins- 16 total by the end of the day. The house had everything we needed- plenty of towels, dishes etc. Bob, who lives on the house boat checked on us a few times. Great hosts and location! We need to go back sans heat wave!

The place was so wonderful! We love how it has a dock so we can bring our boat. It was nice to get up and get on our boat and go. The place was cozy, felt like we were in a cabin. The host answered quick and bob was really kind. Will definitely book again to this place!

Great place to stay at the Delta!

This house is comfortable with a lovely view, great dock and close to fast water. The owners were flexible with early check-in, and the house stayed cool in spite of hot outdoor temperatures. Highly recommend!

Had a great experience at this house. The house is very comfortable and Cathy (owner) was great to work with. The property manager who lives on boat on dock was helpful and always there for any questions. Would highly recommend this house.

We have enjoyed this house as a weekend getaway, then as a vacation home and our kids grew up waterskiing here. Now the grandkids are enjoying it, too. We remodeled and upgraded the house in 2009 and and rebuilt the dock in 2013. It now has all the comforts we need.

Why they chose this property

Less than 2 hours from the Bay Area, it was close enough to come for a weekend and far enough away to really relax and forget about work. The neighbors are friendly if you want to walk around and chat or they will leave you alone if you don't want to go out and meet them.

What makes this property unique

It is a quiet, relaxing place to forget about the stress of work or the rest of your problems. Close to small towns if you want to run in to a movie or a big grocery store and we have small bars, restaurants, and boating facilities close by if you need them. You can walk along the levee and see the unique houses and boats. Overall, it is just a fun place to relax and enjoy.
