Very clean and a good location. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side during the weekend we were there and as a result could not enjoy the beach.

It was nice but water was not hot and kitchen was limited for the price. The split system died on us
Owner was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay but for price and value the little things matter such as needing descaled kettle and clean coffee plunger and plenty of towells/washing machine. The bird life and access to beach were wonderful though and beds were very comfy.

Thank you Gail for your review.
The failure of the slit system was unforseen as it is new and still under warranty. We are in the country, the technician came the next day to attend, but parts still took one week to arrive. This is out of my hands, but compensation was offered and accepted.
Hot water by Government regulation is not to exceed 47 degrees.
Any housekeeping issues should be brought to my attention immediately so that the cleaning staff can rectify the complaint.
Nevertheless, we are glad that you did enjoy your stay.
Kindest regards,
Graham.

Be aware!!
On arrival we found the house very grubby. The screen wire door fell off the track as we opened it. We had to fix it back on with a knife, when I told the manager/owner he laughed and said “we have lost about 20 runners from the door as it keeps falling off”.
The whole house needs a good clean. BBQ was filthy with dangerous knobs on gas bottle. We found silverfish crawling in the bed, in the kitchen cupboards and also in the fridge!! Power switch to turn hot plate stove on is squashed in and dangerous. Towels rails & shower caddy very rusty. Bed linen and towels were fresh & clean. Kitchen is very old and grotty. As this is a “holiday house” we expected a washing machine. When I enquired to the owner about one I was told…. There’s no machine we suggest you hand wash in the “wash tub” and hang on the clothes airer or go to the BP service station and use their washing machines! Really!!! What century are we in that people hand wash, hand wring clothes. This is a $300+ AUD per night house!!!
I would never recommend this house to anyone. We also were asked for our full names and what our personal address was.
Nicely positioned beach shack on the edge of a farm , steps away from the water. You can hear the surf from the home!. Good for two couples - equal beds/ bath. Linens and paper products ( soap/ shampoo) provided. Do be prepared to byo all condiments etc. Owner was very generous with our requests. We were grateful that the price wasn’t inflated over the Easter holidays. Good value!
A well-presented, comfortable holiday house in a relaxing rural location, only a few minutes walk to the sandy beach featuring striking black rocks and shells. We enjoyed the many birds we saw from the verandah. Our host Graham was very helpful in returning my prescription glasses which were lost on the beach and found by the next guests!

We stayed at Sheoaks with 2 small children, and it was a magical setting. Easy access to the beach, beautiful garden and access to open spaces. Inside the house was beautifully decorated and equipped with all essentials. We had an amazing 2 days, and as a photographer I captured some of my best work in this wonderful place. We are looking forward to re-visiting Sheoaks and Port Fairy in the future.
