The owners were incredible! They reached out to make sure we had what we needed and the house was fantastic! We couldn’t have asked for a better location. We typically stay in the Scarborough beach area so this year was a first for this location and well worth it!

Wonderful!!

Betsy and Neil’s home was perfect for our 2023 family vacation! The house is a super short walk to the rocks on the beach and a touch further is Roger Wheeler State beach. The rocks were perfect for crabbing and the beach was lovely to chill on! :) The home has everything you could possibly ask for when visiting with a family of kids and teens. Fantastic location & absolutely BEAUTIFUL home!Also- Great support from owners, who were super accessible & responsive.Reason for "4" rating- Having to put bed linens on beds ourselves, upon our arrival, was not a process we are familiar with,- from prior VRBO stays. Older people who may be afflicted with some mobility and/or lower back issues may not be in a position to haul in the heavy bags containing the clean linens/towels,- then make the beds up, themselves. For our party, this situation was an inconvenience. For other parties, it may be much more than this.Nonetheless, the weather was fantastic while we were there,- and we really enjoyed ourselves!

Great house for big families

We had an amazing week long stay here. The house was the perfect layout and size for our multi generational family vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and the house is very organized, including labels for the light switches. The proximity to the beach was perfect for the kids, and the outdoor shower, yard, deck gate, and swing set were some of the highlights of the house. One thing to note is that the house does not provide beach towels, but you can bring your own or rent through their linen service. Check out was a breeze and the host was so responsive and friendly! Thank you to the Patrick family for sharing their beautiful home with us!

Perfect stay for the whole family!

This spacious and cozy home will delight the young and old alike with its many features and special details... ocean views, a fully-stocked kitchen, comfortable furniture, books and games for all ages, even dress-up clothes for the little ones... Close proximity/walkable to Roger Wheeler beach with great water views from the back of the house, both 1st and 2nd floors. We enjoyed take-out from Champlin’s (1.5-mi) on the deck while watching the sun set and the kids play on the swing set. It’s fun to eat there too and watch the boats come and go. Other local favorites: Matunuck Oyster Bar (15 min drive, recommend making a reservation), Sweetspot for ice cream, Coast Guard for drinks. We also like Chair 5, but they’re unfortunately currently closed to non-guests due to CV-19. George’s is also good. We had a wonderful week, and the home was a big part of that - no complaints!

Beautiful house in a great location

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The house is in a beautiful location on Pt. Judith, and the views of the ocean are wonderful. The house is in great shape - it's clean and there are a ton of amenities, including a Wii on the main floor which the kids loved playing. The upstairs has great space as well, including a second living room. Our only issue with the living space was the mattresses, which were oddly uncomfortable! We had a couple minor hiccups. We had an issue with the linens drop off and a toilet the broke while we were there. In both cases, the owners were quick to fix the issue. Additionally, the owners clearly care and want to keep the house in great shape - I really appreciate that, but they do have a lot of rules they ask guests to follow (regarding where things go, etc.). It was all well documented, which made the requests easy to adhere to. Note that they do ask for no group events or parties. We didn't realize how tightly the owners construe groups - and had a small BBQ that a few of our elderly relatives came over for. The owners communicated with us and it ultimately did not seem to be an issue, but I wish that had been noted more clearly (i.e. do not have gatherings of any kind). Again, we had a great stay at the house and appreciate how responsive the owners were.

Unforgettable week

I rented this property for a surprise for my husbands 40th birthday with family from CA and others from RI and it was nothing short of amazing! The property is beautiful and it had everything we needed including a swing set for the kids which all of the kids fully enjoyed!! So close to roger wheeler and we had the perfect weather all week. We were completely satisfied with our stay here and would recommend to anyone who wants to rent a beach house for a week!

Wonderful house in a great location

Best house I have ever rented, everything was provided for us, in the most beautifully organized way ever. We were three couples who each had a bedroom and 4 kiddies who shared two bedrooms. Two living rooms so groups could have a quiet spot, great because we are a lot of musicians. The most amazing kitchen ever, would strike kitchen-envy in anyone's heart. Short walk to beach and great cycling all around. Plus kayaking. We all want to go back!

We lived in Boston for 20 years before moving to the Midwest for 5 years. After coming back to the East Coast (NYC), we decided we wanted a beach house for our kids to grow up. We loved New England, and found that Narragansett has the best beaches and family atmosphere for all four seasons.

Why they chose this property

We love our house! Sand Hill Cove is *the* beach for families - the waves are milder, the slope is shallower, and the crowds are more manageable. The neighborhood is awesome for families - local traffic only and a quick walk to the beach! Finally, our home is perfect for families - Swing set in the backyard, kids toys, games, and books inside, and a great outdoor shower for after-beach cleanup. Why do we know this? We're a family, and we stay at our beach house in Narragansett 10 months out of the year! We hear the ocean waves, walk down to the beach every day, and spend time in a family friendly and quiet neighborhood - it's our favorite place in the world!

What makes this property unique

Our backyard swingset is a kid favorite - we even have a baby swing if you need it! The quiet neighborhood and nearby beach path means you can let the kids play, collect seashells, and create the memories that will last a lifetime.
