My family and I had a wonderful week staying in this house, and the location is amazing :-)Being right on the boardwalk and right near the beach was a treat for all of us! The house had plenty of room and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook every night. The owner communicated consistently and was quick to respond with any questions or needs.My kids and their cousins loved biking and walking to all the shops in Avalon, which were really close. Overall, a wonderful week!

What a great location, right on the beach . I mean right there, plus the boardwalk !

Very friendly owner a pleasure to deal with. Was nice enough to even leave beach toys for our little one. The home is very large and open.

Perfect family vacation house

Loved the multiple living levels. A few of the guests had to work remotely and the set up was perfect. The location was awesome so that some of us that flew in from out of town could easily get around town. I am hoping to return in the future.

A piece of Heaven!

The location cannot be beat. We sat out and listened to the waves and watched the stars at night - just wonderful! We easily accommodated our large family and with little kids it was great to get back and forth to the beach. When you're at the beach, location is everything and this location can't be beat. We loved it and had a great time.

Fabulous!

This was my first VRBO experience, and I couldn't have hoped for a better one. The location is ideal, the house was nicely furnished in a way that was both attractive and comfortable, and the layout--with a living area and bedrooms on all three floors meant that even with 16 people, those in search of a secluded nook for some quiet time could always find it. The proprietor was so friendly and accommodating and promptly answered any questions. The beach access was unbeatable. My family had an amazing week in this lovely house.

Disappointing accommodation- GREAT location!!!

We were so excited about returning to Avalon this summer and introducing our grandchildren to the Jersey shore. The location on one end of the boardwalk was lovely and so convenient. Clearly, however, there were issues with maintenance of the house before we arrived. When we got there, the inside temp was 86 degrees on the 3rd floor and we could hear water running. We found water leaking from the kitchen faucet, running over the counter toward the stove, dripping down from the sink through the floor and into the bedroom closet below (unusable) A section of the ceiling in the closet was on the floor. It was obvious that it had been taped to the ceiling before. I called the owner to report this and she kept saying she couldn’t understand how that happened, as she had just been there. A plumber came out the next morning (he fixed a “significant leak”) but in the meantime there was a mess in the kitchen and BR. There was animal hair on the 3rd floor sofas and a wet mat in the bathroom. We brought our own bed linens, but several pillows and some of the bedding were stained. Floors were dirty. Hsekeeping returned. On Wed of our week we noticed a burning smell in the kitchen. Hot tiles surrounded an outlet. We called the property manager and emphasized the unsafe/emergency nature of the problem. When an electrician came at 10 pm, the outlet in question was too hot to touch and had burned up inside. The owner offered to adjust my rent- but it seemed inadequate. This house needs work.

I was not made aware of any concerns about cleanliness until later in your stay, but as soon as I was informed, I sent cleaners to address any issues at no additional charge. Regarding the electrical issue, I promptly arranged for an emergency electrician to inspect the property after your late-night call. All the contractors confirmed that the issues were not as severe as described. Nevertheless, we understand how distressing it can be when things don't go as planned which is why we gave you money back. We are committed to providing a positive experience for all our guests, and your feedback helps us improve. 80% of our tenets return each year! Thank you, and best wishes for your future travels.

Amazing location

This spacious house was perfect for our large group! There were areas for the group to gather together comfortably but also plenty of space to get away from one another. The property manager was extremely responsive and helpful. The outdoor areas were amazing and the location was very convenient. The views were spectacular! We agree with other reviews which said some minor updates would go a long way! The kitchen is small but we were able to piece together what we needed. Overall, our stay was great!

My family enjoyed our stay very much! The house is beautiful, clean and is in an excellent location. It's convenient to the beach and to town. The property manager was pleasant to work with. The only negative was that the grills needed a cleaning and we had to fill and attach a propane tank ourselves to one of them. Also, it came as sort of a last minute surprise that we needed to bring or arrange for our own linens. But I think that was a VRBO snafu. Be sure to check VRBO charges to ensure they are not charging you for linens, since they are not actually included. Other than that, everything else was great!

Easy check in. Very spacious with lovely, very comfortable furniture. Great decks with a view. Home does not smell musty or ‘old’. 👍🏼 Kitchen needs to be better appointed with updated dinnerware and more flatware. En-suite bathrooms are a big bonus. Beds are extremely firm (I like that, my friends did not). Carpet on the stairs is shabby and the bottom step is confusing because it is not carpeted, causing people to think they are on the floor level. We had two falls due to this confusing situation. No hairdryers, bring your own. Bathrooms are functional, but need to be updated. The shared living spaces are fantastic. The place would be perfect if it were spruced up a bit. We will rent again.
