We loved our mini getaway at Margot's place. Cold weekend so it was a perfect place to just chill indoors and take in those amazing views. House was just perfect from bedding to kitchen utensils and everything else required. Host was very responsive to all questions and the place was maintained very well. Hope to be back again.

Response from VrboOwner on 26 Mar 2023
Thanks for staying at 'Atlantic View', Ken. Good to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the house comfortable and with the amenities you required. Just a small point, there's a coffee machine using coffee pods in the pantry. Thanks also for feedback, we're currently exploring access to streaming services.
The house has amazing views. Not many don’t in Mt Martha. House is getting a bit old,
But did the job. Owner is very very particular and has a lot rules and seeks a lot of information about each guest. Felt very intruding. Had some issues aroun a maintenance issue. Could could
have fixed it ourselves for $11. However did the right thing and reported a broken tape so it could be fixed for next guests was treated like a liar from the host. Left with a bill. Massive piece of window glass stored in the master room in the master bedroom (likely for a repair down the track). House has a lot of direct instructions on notes and manuals all over the house. Made us feel nervous doing it using anything. In the end Mt Martha exceeded our expectations, however the experience would have been more enjoyable with a more relaxed owner. The futon bed is not very comfortable and probably only for kids. Gardens needed a tidy and gas bottle was empty.
Jim D.
Stayed 5 nights in Dec 2023
Response from VrboOwner on 25 Jan 2024
We found Jim and his family to be good guests, and thank them for leaving the house neat and tidy at check-out. So we were sorry to read of Jim’s dissatisfaction in his review. During his visit, the bath spout or tap was snapped in two, and we required him to pay for repair. This was taken from his Damage Deposit by Stayz, and is standard practice for holiday rentals, hence the Damage Protection scheme. We have a booking questionnaire designed to help us get to know our guests a little before check-in, covering general info and including how they intend to use the house during their stay. If Jim had expressed discomfort at the time, we could have worked our way through the issue with him. We do have a folder containing instruction manuals for our various appliances – this is meant to guide guests if they need help with e.g. the washing machine or air con. We also have some signs in the house designed to make the guest’s stay hassle-free, e.g. reminder to turn off lights and close windows when you leave, which day to put out garbage, reminder to check outdoor umbrella is not left up on the balcony, etc. As we are a registered holiday rental with the Local Shire Council, we’re also required to display the Shire’s Code of Conduct. Jim felt the house is getting a bit old, but I need to say that in the past 2 years, we have installed a new BBQ, new quality dining table, new outdoor table and benches on the balcony, new air con, new dishwasher, new oven, new fans downstairs and 2 new Samsung QLED TVs. Finally, it seems the gas bottle was empty, this was an unfortunate oversight and we apologised for this to Jim at the time, and reimbursed him for the gas bottle he bought. Overall, we’re glad Jim and his family enjoyed staying in Mount Martha, especially the amazing views you get from our property.
We have been here several times before and this property continues to deliver a great get away at a great price.
