Kinder Cottage 43a Lampe St, Talbingo.
This is our family holiday home, we use it regularly and are continually
updating areas to make it the best place to stay. Come and enjoy a great
place,create some of life's lasting memories.

Clean and comfortable 4 bedroom cottage.Fully equipped modern kitchen
with dishwasher, microwave and 2 'fridges.Large lounge dining area with
wood heater and s/s r/c air cond. TV’s

Two bedrooms with a queen size bed and two bedrooms each with single beds all with electric blankets, doonas and pillows plus spare blankets( linen excluded : BYO or hire avail. ) .
Laundry area with washing machine and dryer , Two bathrooms with
shower and one with bath.Two toilets,BBQ on verandah, spacious outside play
area, fenced yard.
We can comfortably accommodate 4 Adults and 4 Children with 4 single and 2 Queen size beds, with a maximum 8 people( ideal for 2 small families).
Great location and easy to find next to Police Stn.& Res., surrounded
by maintained parkland,a short stroll to Shopping Centre, Service Stn.,
Jounama Lake and unique Interdenominational Church. Five min. walk to
Country Club, golf course, tennis courts, children's playground and
sports oval.

Love your fishing, boating, water-skiing, bush walking, bike riding, photography,
touring? Enjoy visiting unique towns, historic locations, construction
marvels, spectacular views and natures beauty? Feel exhilarated in a winter
wonderland, snow skiing, tobogganing ?All this outside the front door with native birds and wildlife often paying a visit.
There is much, much more to see and do when you base yourself in Talbingo,
most on your doorstep, some just a short drive.

Awesome house

Just a lovely place to spend a long weekend, longer would have been better. The house had everything we needed and the fire was beautiful. Highly recommend for a chilled family or group holiday.

Fishing in Comfort

Large comfortable house with plenty of rooms and everything you need. Easy access to Talbingo and Blowering fishing. We have stayed here several times now.

Mount Selwyn get away

Overall a great stay. Only feedback I could give is the two rooms off the lounge room need heaters as they get very cold at night, winter time. But great place for two families to stay, great fireplace.

GREAT PLACE TO STAY

This house is right next door to the police station and walking distance to the shops and the club. It is very deceiving from the front, it looks small but it is 4 bedroom house with heaps of room. The yard is massive, we had our 2 cars and boat with still plenty of room. Highly recommend.

Great property too bad Mt Selwyn didn't opened this year but still good,enjoyed the drive to thredbo

Property was all good and clean, check in process was a breeze. Russ great at communication advising how far snow resorts are and if we are really prepared for the daily travel which was 3hours one way to thredbo/perisher and we were at the slope for two days in a row. the drive was a bit tiring but we enjoyed it as we have seen all sorts of wild life during the drive home at nights, brumby's, foxes with prey in its mouth, brush tail possums in the middle of the road, wombat crossing the road, feral cats crossing the icy roads, roos, wallabies to name a few (got it all on dashcam). house was a bit old. my son, wife and i all saw silhouettes/ human figures crossing the hallways and sounds of some bearing or metallic dragging across the floor when we were all in the dining area and reckons the house is a bit haunted/inhabited by something unseen which was very scary and disconcerting. As much as we like the house i don't think we'd be in a hurry to re-book a stay just for that reason that the house might be haunted. In my opinion it needs to blessed by a catholic priest. other than that snow holiday was great and the talbingo community was great a bit expensive with some items though like rice $20 for 5kilos for example. We spent money on the shops to support the local community which is what everyone should do when they go on holidays i reckon.

Easter break with family and friends

Lovely break away staying at Kinder cottage Talbingo . Communication with Russ was great before , during and after our stay . The cottage had all we needed , comfy beds large lounge area with Tv and excellent outdoor area with fire pit . The property was very clean, tidy & so close to everything in town We would highly recommend Russ’s property to have a break away . Sue and Chris

Good location. Close to shop. Everything on hand.

We enjoyed our stay and will most definitely do it again as well as passing the word around. We didn’t want to leave in the end. There was a day where we did absolutely nothing and just chilled at the house. Playing UNO.

Great family holiday

We stayed for 5 nights in high summer and found the house well kitted out, comfortable and in a handy location near the shops and a short walk to the club. (Don't be put off by proximity to the police station, which must the be quietest little cop shop in the country.) Highlights: aircon in living room and two of the bedrooms, loads of space, great lounge and entertainment system, two bathrooms, two fridges, and a layout that allowed the Olds to go to bed undisturbed by the teenagers' movie marathon. And Russ is an absolute pleasure to communicate with.

Mates fishing weekend

Great property for a larger group, loads of space. The 2 bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, large living and dining area and 2 fridges make this property fantastic for larger groups. The multiple air conditioners made for a very comfortable nights sleep.

Return to Talbingo after 40 years

Owner Russ was absolutely wonderful to deal with and nothing g was too much trouble. The property was such a pleasant surprise with an abundance of comfortable seating. 2 outdoor areas to enjoy the lush views and wildlife. My elderly parents had no problems getting around with their walking sticks and walkers. Loads of information available for you to Organize how to spend your days. My granddaughters were thrilled to have so many toys available to play with. Kitchen was stocked with essentials. Thank you for providing such a wonderful place for us to stay. We will definitely be back. Vicki

Family snow trip

We had a lovely time staying at Kinder Cottage. Very clean and well appointed. Perfect for two families, plenty of room. Also, well heated, love the wood fire and the electric blankets, lovely to come home to after a day at the snow !!
