A lovely quiet area with views of the mountains and plenty of space for us and our Shetland Sheepdog both inside and out. Firewood pre-prepared & plenty of movies to watch. So close to many nice restaurants and wineries.
The home was quiet and quaint and serene. The fridge was well stocked and the kitchen set up with care. We enjoyed seeing the kangaroos in the adjoining paddocks.
Sumerfield was a great stay for our family over Xmas. The property was stocked with amazing treats and was cosy and well positioned for us visiting family. The house is dog friendly, however the yard is not so if you have a dog that isn’t good on recall there is no barrier to stop them running. One bathroom can be challenging with 6 adults and the third bedroom is an enclosed verhanda room on the western side with portable air conditioning which did struggle on a very hot Hunter Valley Day but in all was ok for the short time of our stay

Thanks Suzanne, So sorry you had the heat of a Hunter Valley summer to contend with. Kind regards,

Kangaroos greet us us when we arrived and the house was lovely and cosy. The kids loved playing in the garden and running up to visit the horses at the fence. We will definitely stay again!

Great property in a quiet location and close to the wineries (particularly in the Lovedale area). Large area for dogs to run around. Plenty of native wildlife around the property.
We are returning visitors! We love escaping the city for a relaxing family weekend away at Summerfield. You can enjoy the beautiful views and explore the surroundings or just stay inside near the cosy fire. Thanks Corinne, we will be back again... and again...!

A very relaxing stay with a very well equipped house. So grateful we could bring our dogs and they had a large area to run around in. The owner left us breakfast chocolate and wine.
We had an awesome time. Thank you
We had a great time staying at Summerfield. It was nice to stay on that side of Lovedale and the views back to the Brokenback Range are stunning. Waking up to hot air balloons rising in the distance was a bonus.
Lovely house with everything we needed, and an abundance of goods in the fridge and pantry. We really enjoyed our breakfast and dinners on the verandah. It’s easy to get to all the wineries and really close to the entrance of the freeway. Perfect for a family getaway.
We loved the cozy cottage from the moment we walked in.
we lit the fire with plenty of wood available for the whole weekend.
The fridge and pantry was stocked up for us to eat and enjoy.
The bedrooms are private with very comfortable beds.
We look forward to our next visit, Corinne is an amazing host.

Thank you Anne=Marie and we look forward to welcoming you to Summerfield again.
It is a great place, central to so many local attractions. On arrival place was beautifully presented home away from home, all we had to bring was clothes and personel items. Kitchen was well stocked with basics plus yogurt, eggs bacon fruit to kick start a day and a great excuse to eat out on other meals but we did prepare light meals in the full kitchen.
Nice range of toiletries too. Beautiful views, nice to enjoy the fire and cosy beds. We highly recommend this place and will stay here again. Thank you so much for a great place to stay.
nice cosy fire and blankets on these cold
What a beautiful location and charming cottage!
The breakfast provided was plentiful with eggs, bacon, yoghurt, cereals and a lovely bowl of fresh fruit which I’m sad we didn’t get to eat more of.
Correspondence with Corinne was easy and prompt with all my questions asked responded to.
Pets are allowed and my dog had the best time trotting around the grounds with us and laying by the fire pit.
We will def be back for another family holiday !
Thankyou again Corinne!
We had a fantastic time at Summerfield, the home was everything we expected and more.
From the bowl of fruit to the chocolate, breakfast and wine bottle we loved it all.
Very clean and tidy, lots of linen, towels, bath robes even slippers.
Pantry was very well stocked and the covered veranda area was fantastic, it rained on Sunday but we were still able to have breakfast there.
We are already thinking of going back as wineries and other activities are close by.
Highly recommended.

Wonderful place to unwind - comfortable & generous
Hi Corinne
We just left summerfield. It was just brilliant - thank you so much for setting up the place so well for us.
Ella our 17 month old and mozart the schnauzer had so much fun running about. Loved the miniature horses - we fed them carrots and they always came to greet us. Your flexible checkin/ out times and open pantry were so generous - it made our stay even more enjoyable.
We look forward to our next stay.
Thanks again

Thank you Jane for the very kind words and I look forward to welcoming you back to Summerfield.
The house was surprisingly spacious and the screened wrap-around verandah was a wonderful place to sit and eat breakfast while the hot air balloons floated past. The kitchen had all you could want and the thoughtful pantry extras meant we could even whip up a pear and apple crumble as a treat. A peaceful, rural location, but only 15 minutes from all the main Hunter Valley attractions. To the kids' delight, there were even cookies in the cookie jar!

Great 4 days!
We are a family group, comprising of six adults, coming from Sydney, Melbourne and Alice Springs. We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Summerfield felt like a home away from home, very welcoming. Wine, chocolates on arrival and everything we needed in the fridge and cupboards. It was a pleasure watching the sunset from the verandah, the shetland ponies next door, the cows and the kangaroos that came to check us out. Thanks again Corinne for a wonderful four days. Joyce, Bruce and family

Simply the best
I can't think of one thing that would have improved our stay. Corrine has thought of every thing. I don't know who enjoyed Summerfield more, the humans or the dogs. We were really looking for a place to take aged mother and our two Italian Greyhounds and Summerfield was perfect. The grounds and outlook are lovely. A pleasant surprise watching the balloons float past each morning. We have never stayed anywhere so well provisioned and set up before. At the risk of making it more difficult to book next time, let me just say that Summerfield is the best.
