About this property
Salty Towers Fraser Island
Salty Towers is a three bedroom pole home located in the quiet Second Valley of Happy Valley on the eastern side of Fraser Island. It is the perfect central location to access all of the attractions and features of beautiful World Heritage Listed Fraser Island.
Salty Towers is ideal for a large family or two families as each bedroom on the main level has a queen bed and there are six single beds in the loft.
The house has polished timber floors and polished timber cathedral ceilings giving the house a warm feeling all year round.
From the lounge and the deck enjoy views to the ocean. It is a short 200m walk to the actual surf beach.
At night enjoy the display of stars as you benefit from the lack of pollution, both in the air and from light.
Salty Towers is deigned to be self contained so has the cooking and dining facilities needed including stove with oven, microwave, electric toaster and gas bbq.
It is only a short walk through the cutting to Fraser Island Retreat where the Shop, Bar and Bistro are located.
Being Fraser Island power is supplied by a solar system that charges batteries providing 24 hour power through an inverter. This does limit what appliances can be operated. The power system will run chargers for laptops, cameras and the like but please do not bring hair dryers.
Linen is not supplied and most guests choose to bring their own linen. We do require that linen be used. We define linen as two sheets and pillow cases and does not include sleeping bags. Linen can be hired by prior arrangement through the Fraser Island Retreat. Hired linen is collected with the house keys. Failure to use linen causes us to incur substantial additional costs which will be backcharged to the tenant. We also reserve the right to cancel a booking that does not use linen. There are pillows and blankets.
Salty Towers is in the small community of Happy Valley which has limited resources. Guests are required to leave the house clean. To assist cleaning materials are supplied. Failure to leave the house clean will result in an additional charge to the responsible guest.
The calendar is kept up to date as best we can. When an enquiry for a booking is sent we aim to respond quickly and once the booking is confirmed by payment of the deposit the dates requested are locked into the calendar. We require a deposit within 7 days to confirm the booking. The normal deposit is 50%. Bookings through HomeAway meet this requirement. Additional time to pay can be made by prior arrangement with the owners. Balance is payable 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Bookings through HomeAway are subject to the Stayz Cancellation Policy. However where impacted by border closures, or island closures such as during the Covid lockdown and bushfires in 2020, full refunds are provided.

Great place to stay, everything you need for a stay. Convenient, generally clean and well stocked with cleaning products and a laundry. Check in and check out was so easy. Looking for to our next stay
A group of us stayed for 5 nights on our annual fishing trip. The fishing was lousy but Salty Towers exceeded our expectations in terms of facilities and comfort.
Ideally situated in a remote area, but easily reached. Very convenient next to the restaurant and grocery. Great view from the deck on the sea to spot whales during breakfast. Superbe plancha for a quick sear.Overall, very nice and easy... the perfect balance of space and comfort.
This spot was absolutely stunning would happily come back again and again stunning views from the deck

Liked: Check-in, location, listing accuracy
The property is ideally situated with easy access to the beach. Could have TV added to furniture.Due to age of guests found it difficult to access stairs
Checkin was great. Able to get in early. House had adequate facilities. It was our 5th year staying there and have booked for next year Stove could do with either a service or upgrade.
