Very nice property and location. We drove to several places and it was a great spot from which to go all around town. The walk to downtown was not bad, even with it being cold, but it might be a bit far for some groups. Would stay again.
Hi Jimmy,

We throughly enjoyed our time in Asheville. The condo was in a perfect location to get to experience everything we wanted to in Asheville. The City Bakery downstairs is a must for breakfast. The pastries and bagels are divine.

This location was perfect for my 3 friends and I for a long weekend in Asheville. Plenty of parking availability, easy walk to town, and comfortable arrangements!
Comfortable and easy walk to down town. The bakery and restaurant one the ground floor make everything convenient. Apartment has everything needed to enjoy the city. The nearby spa is also great for a relaxing massage!
We spent three nights at this King James Building condo. The unit was very comfortable and was spotless. The location made all Asheville sights very convenient and the lower level bakery/coffee shop and restaurant/bar were a plus. We would certainly stay here on a return trip to the area.
Older brick building, so not the most impressive look from the street, but very quiet, solid walls, and never heard any neighbors during my 4 night stay. Very clean, well stocked, nicely sized apartment. Close to restaurants and stores. Would very definitely recommend this place again, and will stay here again if in the area!
This entire building is a gem! It is a historic building, but the unit was updated, fresh, clean and comfortable. It is a great location, above a great coffee shop/bakery and so close to downtown. The unit was well appointed with great linens and a very comfortable bed. Great for a getaway for a couple who wants to take in all Asheville has to offer nearby.
The host was very helpful however the unit itself was very basic with notable damage and space issues in the main bedroom. Construction next door started much earlier than what was stated in the listing and noted at 6:25am and well before 8am on the weekends and New Years Day. Laundry is not located inside the unit which it appears to be based on listing. Parking is terrible since space is not actually assigned.

Great location and the apartment is perfect for two people. The only suggestion for improvement would be to get a new mattress for the bed. The current one has depressions in it.
Place was very clean, great location, and comfortable fit. Unfortuantely, there were limited cleaning supplies: no broom/dustpan, cleaning solution, sanitizing wipes, etc. and perhaps worst of all, there was only one kitchen sponge which had clearly been used by the previous guests. Other than that, it was overall a good stay.
The rental was exactly what was described as, but … the walls are really thin we could hear our neighbors talking all night and day.
I have stayed at several VRBO places, this one was bare bones, a few coffee packages(thank you) and sugar/ creamers… information about the area would have been nice, eateries, night life, events…. But very clean and kept.

It was on 3rd floor and there were 42 steps up there. It was ok once we got our luggage up. The location was fine. The price was reasonable, but don't expect luxury.Essentials were minimal, but ok. It was easy access to laundry.

This condo has everything that we needed for a short stay. It is in a beautiful old building but is modern and comfortable. A couple of suggestions- get a different bed. The current one is too big for the bedroom. It is very difficult to maneuver around it. Also, add a dozen coat hangers to the closets. We enjoyed the location and had no concerns with noise on the street or from the restaurant or bakery below, both of which serve delicious food!
Overall it was a nice, small place. I would HIGHLY recommend you bring your own king size sheets - unless you like polyester sheets. And bring your pillow, they were absolutely horrible - like somone stuffed old socks and sweaters into a pillowcase. Also, the windows need repair, they are very heavy and do not stay open on their own. You can prop them open, but watch out for your fingers! The floors are VERY warped, but whatever, it's an old building. The bathroom and kitchen were very clean and the towels were fresh and clean - which was nice. Overall, not bad. I'm so glad I brought my own sheets, that really made a huge difference.

The property was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It’s in a great location, with some places within walking distance, and downtown only a short drive. We had a great stay in Asheville and would recommend this property and host.

Reviewer Comments:
As expected for the price. Only had 2 bath towels for 3-night stay, bed was not very comfortable, and the floors were uneven/rotted. Location was pretty prime - close to downtown and there were 2 restaurants under the townhouse.
We enjoyed our time here! The place was cleaned, some traffic noise, but it honestly didn’t bother us. The location is great! Short drive to area breweries, restaurants, and can even walk to a grocery store. Biltmore was also a short drive. If you want a place that is close to a lot, then this is the place!
