It would be lovely in winter, but lovely for two days stay in spring.
A lovely cosy property with a beautiful big backyard & front veranda, was a shame it wasn’t cold enough for the fire.
Great place to stay
We have enjoyed another great stay at this delightful cottage.
Great little cottage, good location, clean and warm. A curtain on bathroom window would be nice. Might difficult for older people to get into huge bath for a shower, but otherwise a lovely good prices place to stay
Cozy, quaint cottage with old world charm and new world essentials.
My family and I had a very enjoyable stay at Brindley's Cottage. The location in picturesque Blackheath is ideal, so close to great art galleries, antiques stores and awesome dining, and equally convenient to amazing scenery and bushwalks. You're spoilt for choice here. Of course you may just want to stay in, as the wood burning stove is so delightful, the kitchen well equipped, and there are a variety of DVDs, CDs and books available in the library. Every room is furnished beautifully, and the yard is full of native Australian flora. We especially loved having our dog stay with us, and he loved the big yard, and the covered verandah.
I would recommend taking some bubble bath (the bath is awesome), and some marshmallows to toast, to make the most of your stay. If you do venture out, the food at the Gardiner's Arms Hotel, is hearty and great value .
Thank you for your hospitality Elizabeth. We will definitely recommend Brindley's Cottage to friends and family and only we wish we had booked a longer stay.
Cozy little place,
We’re hardly inside the cottage. We did day trip around the area like Oberon and Bathurst. By the time we came it’s pretty late. One thing though I was informed dee days before check in that the bathroom is leaking due poor renovation. We only had one go in the shower and that’s it. Water was flowing everywhere. We didn’t have a shower the second as it was still flooded. I was instructed to put the shower head away from the shower screen but I don’t think that’s the main problem. We thought it wasn’t safe to use it so we decided to leave early on Sunday and have a shower at home . I hope it gets fixed before it goes to the listing cis it’s dangerous especially with young kids.
Delightful and cosy.
