You were great guests! Please come back soon!
Thank you!
We really enjoyed this immaculate cabin. The hosts thought of everything! Relaxing on the deck, reading our books, Fishing from the dock in the early morning, the views of Lake Jackson are incredible. Close to old town Manassas with walkable streets and nice outside dining. We will be back!
We had a great stay. The cabin was very clean and well stocked. It was very accessible and within short drives to all of the DC area sites. Downtown Manassas was cute and had some good restaurants. We would stay here again.
It was a wonderful place to stay. The house was clean and beautiful. Lovely amenities everywhere. Great recommendations for local food. I would stay at this place again!
We had a lovely stay at the lake! We loved the beautiful trees and nature all around. The house was spotless with everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed the gorgeous view from inside and out. It was also very easy to explore the surrounding area. We caught the metro at the Vienna station and went into DC several times. The area around the property had plenty of stores and restaurants. We made wonderful memories!
This home is so charming! Very clean with thoughtful touches to make guests feel welcome. Beautiful blend of historical quaintness and modern conveniences. Definitely recommend!
Our February weekend trip at this warm, cozy and inviting home was perfect! The house was even better than the pictures and had everything we needed. The host, Karen, was very kind and prompt in responding to any questions we had. The house was even supplied with a snack basket, bottled water, coffee, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even a bottle of wine upon our arrival. We will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!
This home hosted family members during my navy retirement and was far beyond my expectations. Beautiful home! Everyone was comfortable and loved the serene setting. Will book again!
My family and I wanted a nice place to relax after a day in dc. Fair distance from the city. Karen was a great host, responsive and easy to work with. The house is close to shops, stores, food and restaurants. Recommend for sure.!
Charming lake home. We stayed here to attend the Solheim Cup in Gainesville Va. Easy ride in and excellent place to relax in the evenings. Check in was easy and communication with host was excellent. Highly recommend this VRBO. Note: There’s many steps to reach dock. Climb back up is a little strenuous.
Karen the host was amazing !! My wife and I stayed at this lovely hilltop Lake front view historically home. All the views were spectacular from the house and the decks ,I personally love the the floating deck on the lake where you had a up close view of boats, jet skis and kayaks passing by… thank you so much Karen for a clean and tidy place…we will definitely be back to enjoy!!!
Our family came to town to celebrate our son's wedding. It was a very busy four day celebration with events in and around Bristow and Manasas. This lovely lake home was the perfect spot to grab some quiet and rest. Super cute home, beautiful views. It was just what we expected from the pictures on vrbo. Karen was really good about answering questions promptly when we had them. It was a lovely stay in a very unique vrbo.
The house is very beautiful, comfortable, filled with details, and it also has a spectacular view. The communication with Karen was excellent. It’s a house by the lake, but it requires a long path with many steps to reach the floating deck by the lake. It’s not impossible, but it’s something to keep in mind. Apart from that, we thoroughly enjoyed 48 hours of relaxation. Thank you, Karen.
Wow! This home was absolutely amazing! The view is spectacular and the house was perfect! Inside was well maintained, well appointed, we'll laid out and decorated appropriately. Everything you could need is available. Karen was a great host, very responsive and helpful! It was my first time using vrbo to rent and she was very patient with me and my questions about the process. The only thing negative I can say is make sure you're in shape if you want to go down to the dock! (159 steps, my husband counted!) My legs were sore after coming back up, but very worth the trip! Thanks for a great place to stay on our trip! Very much recommend!

Why they chose this property
Welcome to The Lake Jackson House! You are here to get more information about our home and we are beyond excited to share some details! This place is very special to us. It was our home away from home as we raised children. We have so many great memories attached to it, and we're convinced that you will, too. Long days at the Lake Jackson Beach, fishing off of the dock, enjoying fires in the firepit and fireplace, sunsets and sunrises, 4th of July, and Thanksgiving Celebrations, and so many more! The home was built in 1929, in a very historical region, making the fact that many of the materials used were harvested from the surrounding area including the stones used to build the fireplace which came from the Lake Jackson Dam excavation very exciting.
