This was a great place for our family of 7. We had a couple of questions during our stay and Dee was quick to answer and help out with some supplies we needed. The fire was nice on such a frigid weekend and beds were super comfy. We didnt use the private shuttle because the house is so close to the slopes but we passed uit numerous times and it was nice to know we had it as an option.
The home is perfect for a family winter getaway. Has everything you need. A true home away from home. The communication was excellent. There were some small things I messaged about and each time my message was answered in minutes and a resolution was provided.
We were on a 10 day motor cycle ride and wanted a place wtith a hot tub and restaurants near. Blue Heaven was perfect! Very comfortable and clean. I'm coming back.
This was our third year at Blue Heaven. It is such a special place! The view from the deck is incredible and is what keeps us coming back for more. Nothing beats soaking in the hot tub at sun sat looking out at endless mountains. The cabin is cozy, well appointment, and comfortable. The owners are very responsive and are great hosts. The shuttle service is very convenient, no car needed. Highly recommend, we hope to be back again!
The house, furniture and appliances were in great condition. All beds were very comfortable. Plenty of good firewood to burn. Beautiful view across the mountains from the spacious hot tub. Plenty of room for our two families of four. The free shuttle would pick us up at the bottom of the driveway within minutes of calling them. The host was so easy to communicate with, helpful and very nice. Definitely staying here from now on.
This cabin is beautiful and the views are unbeatable. It is comfy, inviting, and spacious. The couches and beds are comfortable. There is a shuttle service to get you to and from the resort that is super quick and convenient. There is plenty of space for all your skiing equipment when you walk in the door. Ww would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking to go to Snowshoe. The only things keeping me from giving it a full 5 stars are that the listing said there would be kindling for the fireplace and salt for the steps and neither were present.
Great house for a family if you like to be close. Very cozy. The view and hot tub was magnificent. And the fireplace was a great addition. Made a fire just about every night. This time of year brought ladybugs inside but wasn’t a problem. Says no pets, but there must have been at some point because there was pet hair on the furniture. Husband is allergic to dander and had some issues with eyes and nose.
Our two families (4 kids ages 10-17 + 4 adults) absolutely enjoyed our stay! The location, communication with the property manager and accommodations were excellent. The shuttle service to/from the resort/slopes was perfect and made getting around super easy. Dee was remarkable, incredibly responsive and helped us each step of the way. It was a white out while we were there which made AMAZING snow for us to play in for hours in the yard. There were swings, sleds provided for the perfect hill to slide down. Plenty of kitchen gear to use, firewood provided and some board games on site. Despite the crazy snow, the shuttles were running and they kept the roads and driveway clear. All in all - highly recommend :)
We enjoyed the sunrise and the sunsets every day. The kitchen was well furnished. The beds were comfortable and everyone had a great time. We would definitely go back.
We had a great stay at Dee’s cabin. Wonderful view from the deck and cabin has everything you’ll need to relax and enjoy Snowshoe. Beds are great and comfortable and kitchen is well appointed. Wi-Fi was great (cell service is very limited up in Snowshoe) and the location is just a couple minutes from the resort. If you’re going to Snowshoe and want your own space, this is a great spot.
We had a wonderful stay. Blue Haven was one of the best places we have rented. It was very clean, and wonderful views. We will definitely try to come back
We spent the weekend here with our adult children and grandchildren. While we have been to Snowshoe many times, we typically stay in/near the village. It was wonderful to have an entire home to ourselves with a hot tub, fireplace and amazing view.
This is our second year staying in this house and we absolutely love it. The views from the deck are stunning, wide open mountains, it is so beautiful. Nothing beats relaxing in the hot tub after a day on the slopes. The cabin is very cozy with three private bedrooms. We were there with three couples and three young kids. and there was plenty of room for everyone. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The shuttle service to the village is very quick and convenient. The owners are very responsive. We cannot wait to come back!
Truly a perfect vacation rental! There are too many good things to say about this spot, so here comes a list:
- Excellent location in Snowshoe. The rental is very close to the slopes and to Snowshoe Village. Incredibly convenient location.
- View. The view from the deck is a stunningly gorgeous mountain view. The hot tub is located on the deck so you can look on the beautiful vista while taking a soak.
- Cozy. Can't emphasize this enough! The main living area is an open floor plan with kitchen, dining area, and living room with TV. This open floor area looks out over the deck and the mountain vista with a wall full of windows for beautiful natural light and view. It was perfectly spacious for our group of 7 (plus 2 dogs!) but still cozy and so comfortable. The furniture is clean and comfortable. Nice big coffee table in living room perfect for games or puzzle making. Dining table also a great size, comfortably accommodated our group and great for games. We were permitted to use the fireplace and this added an extra layer of cozy.
- Well-appointed kitchen. The kitchen is tidy and has all the basics you'll need. All the appliances worked well. Was grateful for the dishwasher since there were 7 of us so every meal generated quite a few dishes.
- *Very* comfortable beds and bedding and window blinds that really keep the light out.
- Clean! It is clear that careful attention is put to keeping everything very clean. Clean everything - clean house, clean hot tub, clean sheets, clean bathroom, clean towels, etc.
- Wifi worked well. Smart TVs for streaming.
- Wonderful host. DeeDee was friendly and responded to quickly to any messages/questions I had.
This is truly a gem of a vacation rental. Thoughtfully appointed, cozy, well-maintained. Thank you for a lovely stay :)
Awsome spot. We loved the location and the ease of acsee to the village and the MTB trails. Even with all the rain the views were spectauler. There are a few items I think the house could use, especally in the summer with out AC! The number one thing would be some box fans for the bed rooms. The only fan was in the main livivng room and kitchen area. It helped move some air during the day, but not so much in the bed rooms at night. The 2nd thing is some pop holders... lol. We cooked and there were no kitchen towels or hot pads to hold hot pots and pans.
We really did enjoy our stay, Snowshoe is a specali place and yall have an amzing house!!! we loved it.

This is our second time visiting Blue Heaven at Snowshoe and we had a great time. The cabin is clean and comes with everything you need for a great time away. The views from the deck and hot tub are incredible, and everything worked as expected inside the cabin. The hosts are extremely responsive to any questions that came up and we would happily stay again!
I rented Blue Haven with my husband, two young children, parents and family friend for a 3 night trip to Snowshoe. We could not have been more pleased and cannot wait to go back next year! The house is absolutely beautiful, the ski themed decor is very tasteful, the house is well appointed, all the bedrooms are comfortable and private (there IS a door to the loft bedroom with the two queens) and the VIEW IS BREATHTAKING. You cannot beat it! Especially from the hot tub. The shuttle service to the resort is very convenient and fast, we did not use our cars at all the whole trip. It was great feeling so secluded while also being so close to the village. A wonderful stay in a very special place!

Taft owns a construction company focused in Arlington and Alexandria and also manages numerous local rental units. DeeDee is a nurse. Why they chose this property
The views are extraordinary! The house is relaxed and informal, privately situated, yet close to all the action in the village if that's what you're after. We wanted a place very close to the slopes where we could gear up in the house and call the shuttle to pick us up at the end of the driveway.
