Loved the area. It is a bit noisy due to street noise. Major WiFi problem was not solved. Response slow.

Perfect Location

The apartment was comfortable and was within a 10 min. walk to Funchal Center which has everything you could need. My only complaint was not enough communication in a timely manner. We should have been told upfront how to retrieve the keys to get in, and where to park the car.

Overall, it was fine for our stay. The location is perfect, shops & restaurants are within walking distance. That is 100% the best feature. Our biggest issue was communication before we got there. We had some questions and had to adjust our original booking by one day & that took months to get sorted out! She wouldn’t get back to us. It was VERY frustrating. I had to call VRBO customer service 3x just to hear a response from her. The listing also said there were 3 bathrooms but there is only one! There was also no coffee maker like the listing said & the pillows were paper thin. We also found it quite loud in the morning as there is a daycare centre right below the apartment. We could hear kids crying and screaming throughout the day. Overall, it was fine for our stay but I would probably stay somewhere different if I returned to Madeira.

Good position, bad communication

The position of the apartment is close to the old town. The appartment is sunny and it has nice views over the city. It has a parking lot (very useful). But.... The shower cabin has mold, and the toiletries were scarce (2&2 hotel soaps and shower gels for 3 adults... Better don't mention they are provided). The owner answered very late to our messages, both at arrival, and at departure. We asked him one day before if we can delay our departure with a few hours and the answer came 10 minutes before the fixed hour (as we were in the city...). We could perfectly understand that it wasn't possible to delay our departure, we didn't want to impose, we wanted only to organise ourselves properly BUT we needed an answer in the right time. Sorry, but it's a NO.

Die Wohnung ist groß und gut ausgestattet.Die Kommunikation war ausgesprochen schlecht, bis wir Kontakt zu dem Vermieter hatten. Er war sehr freundlich und sofort hilfsbereit. Danach haben wir den Aufenthalt genossen.

Gostei do apartamento. Tem 1 wc, 2 quartos, 1 sala e 1 cozinha. Muito bom, limpo, com o essencial, loiça, toalhas, tv, wifi. Perto dos serviços (cerca 500m de supermercados e da zona de comercio do Funchal) e tem lugar reservado para estacionamento.
