Spacious, nice layout, bed was comfortable with "just right" pillows. Location was perfect for a nice walk to downtown. The off street parking was just right for our car. The location was a bit noisy being under the flight path and on Market street during the day. However, the noise went away before bed time. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding in downtown Wilmington. It was great, walkable to the venue downtown and the hosts had everything we could think of covered!

Great location and place!

My husband and I stayed here with our dog and it was in a perfect location. Easy to walk to all the restaurants and coffee shops and a short drive to the beach. The host is very responsive and made sure we had a great stay. If we come back to the area we will definitely be staying here again.

Great location, close to anything you would need from eating, groceries, gas and shopping in general. Walking around the area is really nice, cute homes and a great deal of history. The home itself is super cute and comfy, especially for its age! Craig was very accommodating and let us check in earlier, as we got in town Way ahead of schedule! Home stayed cool with the AC in this crazy heat and the kitchen is really nice. The back yard is small so your vehicle will take up some space if you park behind the gate/fence. Now we have a pretty tall jeep with wide tires that barely got in there lol but it did and that is own us ;) It was still nice to be able to just walk out with our small dogs and let them go potty. We were only here for a business type trip but would def stay here again if we ever came back!

Convenient Location Nice Property

First trip to Wilmington. Not knowing much about the city, we were pleased how was well suited it was to walking to the downtown/river front. The inside was as presented on VRBO and very comfortable. We had our 2 dogs with us - they really enjoyed the enclosed courtyard as did we! Our host was easy to communicate with. Highly recommended this property.

Great place to walk everywhere.

We enjoyed this stay as a place to walk towards downtown and around the city. As mentioned in other reviews there is road noise, and some noise from upstairs at times, but it didn’t hinder our sleep. We enjoyed being able to bring our dog along and it was a great neighborhood to walk around and see the historical old houses.

Amazing communication and location

Could not suggest this place more. Not only great location to downtown and close to the beach, but the host Craig was fantastic. Very easy communication and Craig was very accommodating when my husband and I had a family emergency come up. The place had everything you could need and was very beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.

Wilmington, NC

Location is phenomenal- close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away to be out of the fray. Lots of thoughtful amenities, everything was labeled well, and our interaction with Craig (the host) was filled with southern hospitality. If we find ourselves visiting Wilmington again in the future, we would definitely be a repeat guest.

Great location in Wilmington

What better place to stay in Wilmington than the Historic District? Very charming house, comfortable, and well-provisioned. My pet allergy kicked in because I was a knucklehead and didn’t realize the house was pet friendly! My bad, that’s what happens when I “speed read.” Anyhoo, nice place to stay and thanks to the hosts!

Charming Historical Spot

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Convenient to downtown. Very clean and nicely furnished. Loved that we could bring our dog. Appreciated the little outside patio to enjoy our morning coffee. Very nice to have off-street parking. We came on a festival weekend so the traffic was a bit loud for sleeping. Met the owners as we arrived and they were very kind and helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Great Location and Great Property

This property is wonderful. Fully equipped and beautiful. Craig was excellent to work with and very attentive. The parking inside the gate is a little tight so we ended up parking on the street during our stay. Street parking was easily available directly next to the property. We would definitely stay here again!!

Wilmington trip

Great place to stay in historic downtown Wilmington. Walk to everything you want to do in town. 15 min drive to the beach. Space was very private w tons of room inside and great outdoor area. Kitchen is loaded with everything necessary to prepare great meals or a quick snack for the road. Love the historic feel with high ceilings- yet very comfortable and inviting. We would most definitely stay here again.

Was Perfect

The location worked very well for walking to all the restaurants, musuem and shopping. We never had to get into our car. The yard was great for our small dog. The host is one of the best we have ever experienced. Everything one needed to know was provided in advance of the stay. We slept well and were quiet comfortable. It was a wonderful visit.

A wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend, and it was absolutely perfect for the two of us! Craig has done a wonderful job maintaining and displaying the historic aspects of this charming home. Craig was very communicative with us and was so kind to offer flexibility during check in and with the approaching hurricane. We walked to downtown Wilmington and drove the short drive to Carolina beach during our stay! Love the fenced in yard area shaded with trees to lounge outside on a hot day! Would definitely recommend this for a single family and would stay here again anytime. Thank you Craig!

Just what we needed!

We stayed three nights at the Antebellum home and wish we could have stayed longer! Check in and out was as easy as it gets, the home had everything we needed and was so beautifully decorated and clean. There was a lot of space to spread out for the two of us. We’re pregnant so drove into town each day and didn’t have trouble finding street parking but would’ve been an easy 10 min walk if we wanted to. All the main attractions and historic downtown was so close but we enjoyed staying a little down the road, away from the crowds. It was such a comfortable home away from home and the historic town of Wilmington is so charming - we would stay again in a heart beat!

Lovely home in charming neighborhood

Of all the properties we've rented over the years, we've never felt so "cared for" as we did in this well-appointed home. From the coffee and spices in the fully-stocked kitchen to the extra toothbrushes and faux candle in the bathroom, we felt like special guests here. The antique decorations added to the Victorian charm. We enjoyed morning coffee on the private back patio and dinner al fresco at the bistro table. Comfortable furniture and cozy bed made relaxing a breeze. Awesome central location -- only a few blocks from River Walk. The historic neighborhood was beautiful for taking walks. Just a short drive to the beach and shopping/restaurants. We hope to stay here again.

Wilmington Stay

Living space was clean and very pleasant. If you are one person or just a couple, this place is perfect for you. Be aware that parking is limited. As stated you can park inside the gate but there is little to no parking available in the area. We did manage to sqeeze our Tahoe into the back yard area, but if we couldn't, we would have had to park around the block. Perfect for a small car. The advertisement can be miss leading due to calling it an Antebellum House. Yes it is an Antebellum House, but you are only renting the downstair area which consists of 1 bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath. The area is spacious having the huge double doors and high ceilings. I wanted to cook for family but the area just wasn't practical for that purpose. I small antique Pie Table with 4 chairs. The table is beautiful but not practical to eat from. 1 couch with 2 dining chairs in a corner in the living area. The kitchen is cute as a button but dishes and cookware was limited for our purposes. It was great having a stacked washer and dryer available. This place may not have suited our needs exactly, but I would definitely recommend it for one person or a couple. It was priced right. The owner left good information for access and use of remotes and lighting. It's had to imagine this home is almost 175 years old. The woodwork is amazing but I certaining wondered what was behind the red front doors and what the staircase may have looked like. I would definitely recommend staying here.
