The Villa Cabernet is a privately owned, spacious villa located in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country at the Cypress Lakes Resort, minutes from cellar doors and restaurants of Pokolbin.

This fully air conditioned villa will accommodate up to 4 guests in 2 generous bedrooms both with king size beds (one of which can be split into 2 singles) plus 2 large modern bathrooms and a half bathroom downstairs. One of the bedrooms has its own TV. This property comes complete with all of the comforts of home such as; a fully equipped kitchen, a spacious lounge, dining area with gas fire, two balconies, one of which has an outdoor setting.
Self contained with fully equipped kitchen including oven, cooktop, microwave, sink, fridge etc.Villa Cabernet is ideal all year round for couples or a small group getaway, offering you the perfect base to discover the Hunter Valley.

Please note that this property is NOT pet friendly and that guests of Villa Cabernet do not have access to the main resort pool or tennis facilities.

A security deposit/bond of $500.00 is required for your stay and is payable as a credit card pre-authorisation. This will be processed approximately 24 - 48 hours before your arrival, so please ensure the funds are available at this time.

NOTES
A 1-night stay may be accepted at discretion of Management within 14 days of the prospective arrival date. A surcharge is applicable on the 1-night stay, this will be calculated by our staff and quoted to you before the booking is confirmed.
Weekend Public Holiday, Easter, Christmas, and New Year periods require a minimum 3 night stay full weekend rate.

Concert and special event weekends in the Hunter Valley will have a set minimum night requirement to stay and may attract a surcharge.

Elegant and serene 2 bedroom apartment

The apartment is situated in cypress lakes resort in a very quiet setting. The owners have done a wonderful job with the presentation, it is perfectly styled and each bedroom has its own bathroom which is great. The apartment was very clean. The kitchen had everything you needed to be able to cook and make your own meals with a counter top and dining table to sit around. Having a coffee machine in the morning was a godsend ! The outlook and the occasional kangaroo hopping by was wonderful !! Thank you and looking forward to visiting again 🤩

Tidy but not clean asper the covid advice, Mould & dirty A/C, dirty range hood, Mould crack & damaged bathroom Kitchen fixtures. Dirty and unclean range hood, lights on fridge and range hood inop, drawing on the walls upstairs, window and door sill not extensive Gound in dirt from not being cleaned, outside deck rotten timbers and dangerous. this is just the start. picture available if required

Disappointing

After a highly efficient reservation and check-in process, we had high hopes. However, we were disappointed with Villa Cabernet. One of the bedrooms and it’s associated bathroom did not appear to have been cleaned since the previous guest. The kitchen bench had food crumbs on it, and the outdoor table setting was filthy. On the second night of our stay, we were unlucky to have a group of loud and drunk males partying on the deck of the villa next door ALL NIGHT from 4pm-7am. Asked them twice to quieten down and received a tirade of offensive abuse. Dreadful. Appreciated the bottle of wine left in the fridge, and the kitchen basics like tea, sugar, olive oil, etc. Nevertheless, we won’t be back.

Great location to stay for Hunter Valley trips!!

Comfortable retreat for 3 lifetime friends to stay & enjoy the Hunter Valleys beautiful scenery/Vineyards & so close to the concert we went to @ Roach Estate last night which was fantastic with return transport so easy 🎼💞🎼 The place would be much better with some much needed maintenance please 1. The front door was stuck & difficult to open plus no lighting to see what you are doing with the code entry. 2. There were cobwebs & dust in most corners. 3. The uncovered balcony was covered in dirt/leaves/spiders that we had to sweep up & the uncovered outdoor setting is rusting from being exposed to the elements (marked all of our clothes). 4. The kitchen sink tap is not secure - comes out of socket when you try to use it (also loose tap in the downstairs toilet). 5. The dishwasher is dangerous - when you release to open the door it falls very heavily (it hit my knee - bruise only thankfully but if a baby or toddler was under/near could cause serious head injury) + it leaks water In use also.

Clean country air

Great experience sipping wine out on the back balcony on the verge of the bush, hearing the bird song and glimpsing the wallabies out for a hop. Very tastefully furnished apartment and I'd like to return for a winter stay and enjoy the fire place.

Great spot to relax

From the drive in to departure two days later, relaxation was on our mind and our stay did not disappoint. The unit was beautifully decorated, having all the mod cons. With a stunning view to the south of the broken back range, relaxing in the balcony was made easy. Each room had a well appointed ensuite and huge king beds. Air conditioning was much needed and worked well. Parking and access was easy. The kitchen included a full fridge and coffee machine. Villa Cabernet did not disappoint.

Nice and Central

Overall I was very happy with my stay here, the complimentary wine was a really nice touch to our stay and the property was clean. We didn’t cook in the kitchen but we did use some utensils from the draw that could have been cleaner but otherwise we had a great stay, nice and central.

Paradise in the Hunter!

Villa Cabernet Excellence

Villa Cabernet is the perfect house for you and your friends. My friend and I stayed in it for 2 nights and it was great. It is perfect to stay in for the weekend and catch up as well as explore the Hunter Valley and be able to relax whenever we wanted. Fantastic stay!! Will definitely be back!

We booked thia villa for 2 nights whilst my mum is visiting from the uk and we absolutely loved it. We all said when we arrived we felt straight at home, there was everything we The location was perfect and so central to everything in the Hunter it was absolutely perfect. The grounds around the villa in the resort itself were very well looked after and the views were amazing with lots of kangaroos. We already can't wait to come back and are thinking about our next visit wouldn't look any further for accommodation.

Very clean on arrival. Entry easy. Overall outlook nice, even kangaroos grazing the grounds. Restaurant there was excellent. Villa was everything we expected. Privacy a plus with each couple having their own ensuite.
