Thanks for a lovely stay at Rudders Close, we had such a relaxing time. The cabin is located in such a picturesque position, taking in the beautiful view across green hills, lush forrest and down to the river junction. We were lucky enough to see a wonderful electrical storm off the coast on the Saturday evening. The outdoor shower as night is a must!!! The cabin itself was perfectly set up for a quick sojourn out of Sydney. And what a treat to arrive to a load of freshly baked bread. We loved our weekend at Rudders Close and are already planning our next trip there. Thank you, Scott and Katie

Rudders River Cottage, a self contained studio offers a modern, stylish, warm and comfortable private space for couples, travelling professionals and small families. It has been architecturally designed and features beautifully crafted red ironbark and floor to ceiling windows which capture glorious views of the Wang Wauk, Coloongalook river junctions. The queen bedroom has a private terrace and ensuite bathroom. Extra guests can be accommodated on a comfortable pull out sofa bed in the living area.
The open plan living space has a well equipped kitchen and living room with woodfired oven and spills out onto a spacious BBQ deck which also has spectacular views. This extends to an enclosed area useful for containing pets.
The outdoor shower which boasts hot and cold water allows for a fabulous experience either in the daylight enjoying the wonderful view or being enveloped in the velvety star spangled milky way after dark.
Rudders River View Cottage is located on 48 beautiful undulating acres of hobby farm. The owners are trying to achieve a level of self sustainability and have
Black Angus steers(not at the moment), Boer goats,(not at the moment) chickens (not at the moment) and veggie beds.
The stay includes a continental breakfast of freshly home baked bread and jams, homemade yoghurt and granola and some real free range eggs.

LOCATION IDEAL FOR MEDICAL CONSULTANTS, SALES REPRESENTATIVES AND TOURISTS

On the mid north coast 2 hours and 40 minutes north of Sydney. Eight minutes from Nabiac, a thriving buzzy little town which has the local hotel/pub, cafes, craft, vintage, recycled and gift shops and the national the Motorcycle museum. It's well worth a visit.

It is 30 minutes from Forster, Taree, Gloucester and Bulahdelah and surprisingly only 20 minutes from the closest beach at Blackhead or 45 minutes from the pristine Boomerang and Bluey's beaches.

It is very well located for travelling professionals who need to be close to the nearest towns, businesses and hospitals but want fresh air, space and privacy. Look forward to your nights accommodation- no more dreary motel rooms.

We are totally in love with Rudders River View Cottage. It was our second time visiting and it won’t be the last. Everything is just perfect. The location, the view, the cottage has everything you need and the host’s Paul ,Chantal, their boys and of course Frankie the cavoodle are very welcoming, kind and very friendly. A great country getaway.

A beautiful setting. Very peaceful and private with a fantastic outlook over farmland with the river and coast in the distance. A fire was lit for us on arrival so it was nice and cosy on a rainy autumn evening. The hosts were very pleasant and accommodating, our elderly dogs were very comfortable with a confined lawn to wander around in. Will definitely try and get back there and recommend to family and friends.

Lovely farm cottage stay

A lovely stay in a gorgeous part of country NSW. We were looking for a couple of days relaxing in front of the cosy wood heater, looking out over rolling hills and taking in the star filled nights, and boy did Rudders Riverview Cottage deliver. Our Blue Heeler Trevor couldn’t quite work out the cattle and the Kangaroos just baffled him. Paul and Chantel were the prefect hosts and made us feel right at home. Thanks so much and we hope to be back soon.

Absolute perfection!

What a beautiful piece of paradise Paul & Chantal have here. This trip was everything we needed and more. The views, the hospitality, the outdoor shower under the stars - there was nothing to fault! We enjoyed the freshly baked bread and coffee each morning and spent our days enjoying the quiet and sunshine. Our fur baby Opie enjoyed his first holiday with us and loved running around and exploring the beautiful property. We cannot wait to come back again! Thank you Paul & Chantal!

Everything about staying at Rudders Cottage was a joy. From the pre stay contact with my hosts Paul and Chantal. to the way the property was presented on arrival. I had two regrets. The first was I was not there just to relax, I had an event to attend, else I could have just curled up on the verandah over looking the view over the paddocks to the river and the sea. Alternating between sketch pad and book. The other was that the weather didn't allow for trying out the outdoor shower. Unreasonably chilly after a cold front came through.

A slice of Paradise.

Our initial contact prior to booking was fantastic, all of our questions were answered very quickly. Communication remained open as required during our stay. We arrived at the property in the early afternoon, the property was very well presented and access was very easy. The property was exceptionally well set out. The views over the valley were amazing. Paul and Chantel were wonderful hosts. When we arrived we were met by the family dog Frankie just a friendly fellow which our boys got on so well. When we walked in there was homemade bread cooking and soft relaxing music playing. We relaxed straight away, it made us feel very welcomed. Paul and Chantel have great knowledge of the area and suggested many places to visit. They really made us feel at home and nothing was a bother to them. We had a lovely week and we would most definitely stay again! thanks again Paul and Chantel 😊

Amazing views and ever so comfy and private

We loved our 4 night stay at Paul and Chantal's gorgeous cottage. Just what we needed. Could have stayed longer!! The breakfast items were so thoughtful and yummy. Paul's coffee and Chantal's cinnamon rolls were amazing. The cottage was very comfy and so private, even though the main house is close by (not too close and you don't hear a thing!) The furnishings are so comfortable and high quality. We recommend you do your shopping in a bigger town or before you leave home to ensure you get what you need and you then don't need to leave the property. Nabiac has some small shops for urgent supplies, but limited and over public holidays tend not to be open. To summarise, we would definately stay again! Paul and Chantal, their boys and their little dog Frankie are just charming hosts and have thought of everything!! Thanks guys!!

A piece of paradise

My partner and I organised our booking at very short notice. Paul and Chantal were very accommodating. Our weekend was cold, rainy and blustery. The cabin offered so much to enjoy inside with spectacular views from the bedroom and the lounge. Staying inside by the fire was delightful, there is a huge selection of books and magazines and an extensive range of cds. On arrival we found a loaf of fresh bread in the bread maker, jam, eggs, yoghurt and muesli provided by Paul and Chantal, the hosts. There many other lovely thoughtful details that made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly loved this property and will return again. We would recommend a stay here.

Warm inviting cottage

We loved our stay the cottage was exactly as described and so peaceful. Paul is very helpful but gives you privacy and we found everything plus morE than needed. The bread, jam, muesli and yogurt yummo. Best part we could take our fur babies with us who enjoyed their stay also. Will be back loved it.
