This double storey beach house is beautifully positioned to absorb captivating 180° ocean and river views from the front and rear balconies while only being approximately 30 steps to this engaging, magical beach which only a lucky few get to really appreciate. Safe swimming and majestic walks as wells as fantastic fishing from the beach, rocks and river are just some of the many attractions.

Please note, you must bring your own linen and towels.

Downstairs there is a family room for the kids to enjoy. The outdoor activities of swimming, fishing and snorkelling. The parents will enjoy the upstairs retreat which incorporates an executive kitchen with 2 fridge/freezers, barista coffee machine, quality furnishings including flat screen TV, 1 x reverse cycle air conditioning upstairs, washing machine and dryer plus lots more. But best of all is the expansive ocean views from the decked all weather balcony. The balcony is protected with café blinds and finished with quality outdoor furniture. Spend the night taking in the lights of Adelaide on the deck as you enjoy a wine while listening to the waves break on the shore. The master upstairs bedroom provides a sensational, sparkling double size ensuite including a corner spa, separate toilet and an enormous his and hers shower while downstairs offers a 2nd master bathroom with 2nd toilet. Barbeques will be enjoyed from the 2nd timber deck area with unrestricted, unblemished, rural and river views bordered by the fascinating and refreshingly peaceful Myponga hillside.

very good location but...

It is in front of beach but google map shows us middle of nowhere . The map provided by owner so confusing and we receive little help from owner when call.So please do not follow google maps and do not come after sunset.It is next to beach. Its a good house but need a lot of maintenance work. The air conditioner did not work, advertised coffee machine which doesn't exist . we ended up buying coffee capsule for the machine but no use. we mentioned all these to owner but no compensation offered. Its a nice house and we pay good money for that but wasn't nice stay unfortunately.

Perfect getaway! Absolutely loved it!! 5 stars!!

Right from booking to checkout, everything was so so easy. The place is packed with amenities. Even had a toddler gate for the stairs (imagine!!!). Exceptionally clean. It has all the toiletries you can think of, plus the cutlery, kitchen gadgets and crockery is near new. Two different heaters for ground and first floor, which kept us cosy throughout our stay. The water heater works perfectly and within seconds you get hot water. Words don't do justice to the breath-taking view of this property. Right over the beach. You see the sunrise from one balcony and sun set/beach from the other. The boys played ping pong for hours. The neighbourhood is quite and people are friendly. What a get away! 5 stars to the team managing this property! Highly recommended!! Can’t wait to go back!!

Fantastic beach house!

We would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay! There were 16 of us (10 adults and six children) and we all had a great time - comfy beds, space to play and a great kitchen with beautiful views. The house is the perfect size - it never felt crowded and there was always enough space for everyone. The location is wonderful - beautiful views of the beach and surrounds out of every window, and its also just a few seconds walk to be on the beach. Amazing!

The most disappointing house we have ever stay in

We arrived with three children very excited about the pool table and air hockey they had seen in the photos of the house. Neither were there. The house was dirty and the general maintence extremely poor. The crockery,cutlery and glasses were insufficient and of a very cheap and nasty quality( plastic plates and glasses) There were seven of us and the house is described as catering for more than double that figure! We were paying a very substantial rent and were extremely disappointed. The owner on receiving our complaints deducted 1/9th from our account which we thought was not fair compensation for a very disappointing property. Marianne October 2018

Great Holiday. Great Beach. Great House. Three ticks from us. We had a wonderful time at Myponga Beach. Myponga Beach is such a quiet, beautiful secluded little cove. The kids had a great time exploring the rock pools and the beach is so peaceful and quiet, it is hard to believe you are only an hour from the city. We stayed with a large group of 6 adults and 8 children and the house was perfect to accommodate so many people. The kids took over the lounge room and pool table down stairs, whilst the adults had the run of the second story and the balcony with stunning views. Finally a holiday house with a well equipped kitchen to be able to cater for so many guests, ample of every appliance you could need, two fridges and a BBQ. It also looks like the house has been freshly painted. For the number of people the house accommodates, and the excellent condition of the property, this was great value for money. We will stay here again, and recommend to our friends.

Great location, plenty of beds, great living space

3 couples, 2 singles and 2 kids stayed for 3 nights January 2017. The property is easily accessible, has a downstairs games room with TV and DVD player plus an upstairs lounge also with TV and DVD. Bathrooms upstairs (ensuite in main bedroom) and downstairs and 2 fridges so excellent for a large group. Air con upstairs and ceiling fans in all bedrooms make for comfortable sleeping. The large balcony at the front with pull down blinds and plenty of outdoor seating was a favourite spot to watch sunsets, and enjoy meals. The balcony at the back off the kitchen has a beautiful view over the hills and farmlands and faces east, so good view of sunrise! Our only concerns were 1.Flat batteries in the all TV and DVD remotes plus in 1 of the ceiling fan remotes in one bedroom, which was a nuisance when there is no shop nearby. 2.Flywire screens need repair to keep the mozzies out,most don't fit properly or have holes. 3. Cleaner should clean the windows and under beds/rugs etc. We cleaned the front windows when we arrived (hey were dirty and one was splashed with grease from the bbq) so we could enjoy the view. These 3 things did not detract too much from our stay at this beautiful beach and we are planning to book again next summer.

Great value, relaxing getaway!

We had a great weekend away with the family at the Myponga Beach Holiday house. As the other reviews have said, the beachside location is picture perfect and it’s a wonderful house for families or for a couple looking for a quiet weekend to themselves. My husband and I once stayed in this house a few years BC (before children). We used mostly the top storey of the home which is self-contained and super comfy. This is one of the best value holiday rentals we’ve stayed in. The house comfortably accommodates up to two, three or even four families, plus you get a relaxing getaway that isn’t too far from the city. When you drive down Sampson Road it feels like you’re miles away from civilisation, but in reality you’re super close to McLaren Vale’s amazing wineries and some great local restaurants. The house had everything we needed (we loved that it had two fridges—thank you!) and was very clean and tidy on our arrival. Can’t wait to come back. We will definitely stay here again!

Amazing Myponga beach get away

We stayed at the Myponga Beach House on the weekend with two other couples (total of 6 adults & 3 kids). We loved it!! It was great to get away and relax in the secluded location, just 30 metres from the beach. Although it was cold and wet during our stay, we still managed to walk on the beach a few times and the house was always toasty warm. It looks like the property has recently been painted throughout and we found it very clean and tidy. There was plenty of room for all of us. The big dining table was great at meal times and was excellent for playing board games and cards. We also loved the little touches, like there being a slow cooker and two fridges—much needed with a big group. You cannot fault anything about the house or the location–absolutely beautiful at any time of year. The property has an ocean view from the front and green rolling hills from the back. On the way home we stopped at the Myponga Brewery for beer tasting followed by lunch at the Victory Hotel, a perfect way to finish a perfect weekend. We will be back!!

Great House for a Large Group

We stayed at the Myponga Beach House over the June long weekend had a fantastic time. There were 10 adults and 3 kids and the house catered for all of us perfectly. the secluded location was fantastic and the kids loved spending time on the hat sandy beach - literally 30m from the front door. The house has everything you need for a long or short stay - we will definitely be back!

Disappointing!

a great house in a beautiful location, but.. spent the first two hours cleaning the property - swept floors, swept the deck, washed the outdoor furniture, washed the windows overlooking the veiw, cupboards full of dishes thrown in, dusted the furniture, one missing doona, coffee machine that splattered coffee everywhere - more cleaning. Such a shame..

Listen to the waves....

There were 9 adults and 2 children sharing this space for our two night stay at Myponga Beach and we had plenty of room. The kitchen is nice and big with two fridges and we used the bbq during our stay. Really could not fault the location, it was great listening to the wave gently rolling into the beach during the night. Highly recommend everyone check out the coffee at "21 Junk Street" café at 84A Main Street in Yankalilla just 12kms South of Myponga beach. Best coffee in the region!

Not what we were hoping for... Desperate for TLC

This would be ideal for 2 families with kids where you don't have to worry about being precious, but for adults it had a few flaws. Firstly, it was very expensive, but as we stayed over the xmas break I could accept this. However, when we arrived we were shocked at the state of cleanliness. There was a tray of moulding cakes left on one balcony, and a tray of cigarette butts on the other. The walls and windows were dirty, cupboards and drawers were a mess. Generally a lot of decor was quite worn/damaged (eg bar stool cracked, missing light globes in the lounge area, holes in the bathroom walls). I immediately emailed the woman we'd booked through but there was no reply/apology. She'd gotten the email as it was included on a reply regarding security refund sent after our stay (but still no mention of the issues). We were paying over $600/night and would have appreciated some acknowledgment. Despite this, the location is lovely and the beach is beautiful on hot days. If you're looking for luxury I would try elsewhere, though if you've got a rowdy bunch of kids that are going to run amok- this place would be perfect. There's plenty of beds, pirated DVDs and a downstairs rumpus.
